Job Description – Azure Data Engineer (ADF + SSIS)
Role Summary
We are seeking a skilled Azure Data Engineer with strong experience in Azure Data Factory (ADF) and SSIS to design, develop, and optimize scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines. The role will support enterprise data warehouse and cloud modernization initiatives.
Primary Responsibilities
- Design and develop ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF) and SSIS
- Build and manage data integration workflows across multiple sources (SQL Server, APIs, flat files, cloud storage)
- Migrate and modernize legacy SSIS packages to Azure Data Factory pipelines
- Develop and maintain data pipelines from Azure Data Lake / blob storage
- Implement incremental data loads, scheduling, and orchestration
- Optimize data pipelines for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency
- Work with stakeholders for requirement gathering, data validation, and UAT
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and governance across pipelines
- Support CI/CD deployments using Azure DevOps
- Troubleshoot pipeline failures and production issues
Required Skills & Experience
- 8–10 years of experience in Data Engineering / ETL
- Strong hands-on experience in:
- Azure Data Factory (ADF)
- SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
- T-SQL (stored procedures, performance tuning)
- Expertise in data warehousing concepts (fact/dimension, star schema)
- Experience with Azure components:
- Azure Data Lake / Blob Storage
- Azure SQL / Synapse
- Strong understanding of:
- Data pipelines, transformations, orchestration
- Data modeling and ETL design principles
- Experience with data migration to cloud (Azure)
- Experience with Pyspark/python
Nice to Have
- Experience with Azure Databricks
- Exposure to Power BI / reporting tools
- Experience in SSIS to ADF migration projects
- Knowledge of CI/CD, Git, Azure DevOps

The annual salary for this position is between $130,000 - $140,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
