Cognizant Workday practice is recruiting for students who are looking for an exciting, consulting internship for the summer of 2027. We proudly partner with Workday, one of the leading cloud-based software solutions for HR, finance and payroll management.

About the role

As a Workday Consulting Intern, you will make an impact by contributing to the delivery of cutting-edge HR and Finance technology solutions on the Workday platform while gaining hands-on experience with data analysis, process optimization, and real-world client engagements. You will be a valued member of Cognizant's award-winning Workday Practice and work collaboratively with seasoned consultants, subject matter experts, and clients.

In this role, you will

• Build foundational knowledge of Workday technology and industry best practices, and apply it to analyze issues, conduct research, and support testing.

• Analyze market trends and client challenges to generate actionable insights and strategic recommendations.

• Collaborate with team members to design, present, and implement technology-driven solutions, and support go-to-market initiatives.

• Apply AI-driven tools and technologies to enhance data analysis and address client and internal business challenges.

• Contribute to deliverables and thought leadership content, and participate in team meetings and brainstorming sessions.

Work model

Based on this role's business requirements, this is an onsite position requiring 5 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Plano, TX.

Start Date

The internship will last 9 weeks, starting in June 2027.

Hourly Rate

The hourly rate for this position is $25.00 per hour, depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

What you must have to be considered

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in Business (Finance, Accounting, Business Management, Operations Management), Human Resources, Human Resources Management, Computer Science, or Information Systems, and eligible for internships within 12 months prior to final graduation date.

• Strong creative and analytical problem-solving skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, with demonstrated teamwork and leadership capabilities.

• Strong interest in technology, digital transformation, and enterprise solutions, with a commitment to delivering client service excellence.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Access, Project).

These will help you succeed

• Proficiency in AI-powered productivity and analysis tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, generative AI assistants) to support research, problem-solving, and project delivery.

• Ability to work effectively in cross-cultural teams and accommodate multiple time zones when necessary.

• Self-motivated with a proactive approach to learning from subject matter experts.

• Interest in cloud-based enterprise systems and Workday best practices.
