Job summary
We are seeking a GeoSpatial Lead Java professional with 10 to 14 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Kafka Amazon Web Services Microservices Spring Boot and Java 8. This role is based in the office with a day shift schedule and does not require travel. The candidate will play a crucial role in developing and implementing geospatial solutions that align with our companys objectives and contribute to societal advancements.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of geospatial applications using Java 8 and Spring Boot to enhance our service offerings.
- Oversee the integration of Kafka for real-time data processing to ensure seamless data flow across systems.
- Provide expertise in deploying applications on Amazon Web Services to leverage cloud capabilities for scalability and reliability.
- Develop microservices architecture to improve system modularity and facilitate easier maintenance and updates.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Ensure the implementation of best practices in coding and software development to maintain high-quality standards.
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Monitor application performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal functionality and user experience.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to incorporate innovative solutions into projects.
- Mentor junior developers and provide guidance to enhance their technical skills and professional growth.
- Coordinate with project managers to ensure timely delivery of projects within budget constraints.
- Contribute to the development of technical documentation to support ongoing maintenance and future enhancements.
- Engage in regular team meetings to discuss project progress and identify areas for improvement.
Qualifications
- Possess a strong background in Java 8 and Spring Boot with proven experience in developing robust applications.
- Demonstrate expertise in Kafka for real-time data processing and integration.
- Have hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services for deploying and managing applications in the cloud.
- Show proficiency in designing and implementing microservices architecture.
- Exhibit excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Display strong communication skills to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Be committed to continuous learning and staying abreast of emerging technologies in the field.
