Job Description:
Seeking a detail-oriented QA Engineer with strong analytical skills to design and execute test strategies for web apps APIs and hardware. Must be skilled in TestRail API testing with Postman and effective communication. Experience with Azure DevOps CI and CD and test automation principles is a plus. Ability to work independently manage defects and ensure high quality releases is essential.
Responsibilities
Meticulous and Proactive Testing Approach
Demonstrates exceptional attention to detail when reviewing requirements test cases and application behavior.
Anticipates potential risks or defects early in the development lifecycle and proactively identifies test scenarios that cover both expected and edge-case behaviors.
Ensures comprehensive coverage through methodical planning consistent execution and thorough documentation of test results.
Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills
Quickly investigates and isolates issues using structured analysis logs system behavior and debugging tools.
Able to break down complex features or defects into root causes and provide clear actionable feedback to developers.
Capable of designing test strategies for complex systems including integrations APIs and multi-device environments.
Proficiency in Azure DevOps (Nice-to-have)
Experienced in using Azure DevOps for managing test plans work items user stories bug reporting and pipelines.
Able to interpret CI/CD pipeline results and collaborate with DevOps or engineering teams to support continuous testing.
Creates dashboards queries and reports to monitor testing progress and quality metrics.
Experience with Postman (API Testing)
Skilled in designing and executing API tests using Postman including authorization methods parameterized requests and environment management.
Builds automated collections and uses scripting (for instance JavaScript pre-request and test scripts) to validate API responses.
Understands REST standards response codes payload validation and error handling.
Ability to Communicate Effectively
Communicates clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders ensuring shared understanding of issues and test outcomes.
Able to lead defect triage meetings present test results and provide clear risk assessments.
Hands-on Experience with TestRail
Skilled in creating organizing and maintaining test cases suites and test runs within TestRail.
Interprets TestRail analytics and reporting data to track coverage execution and quality trends.
Ensures consistent test documentation standards across the team.
Experience Testing Web-Based Applications and Hardware
Experienced in validating functionality usability performance and security of web applications across multiple browsers and platforms.
Familiar with responsive and cross-device testing UI validation and front-end defect analysis.
Able to test hardware devices including firmware updates connectivity compatibility and interaction with software systems.
Understands test setup logging troubleshooting and capturing data for hardware-in-the-loop scenarios.
Understanding of Test Automation Principles
Familiarity with automation concepts frameworks and best practices even if not writing automation code daily.
Able to collaborate with automation engineers identify suitable areas for automation and review automated test coverage for completeness.
Understanding of CICD integration for automated tests.
Strong Knowledge of Defect Lifecycle and Quality Processes
Deep understanding of defect lifecycle management from identification through closure.
Ensures high-quality bug reports with clear reproduction steps logs and evidence.
Contributes to improving QA processes standards and methodologies (Agile Scrum or Kanban environments).
Ability to Work Independently and Take Ownership
Comfortable leading testing activities for features releases or entire product areas.
Makes informed decisions about testing priorities risks and release readiness.
Demonstrates accountability and reliability in delivering high-quality testing outcomes
