Data Architect / Onsite Technical Lead
About the role
As a Data Architect / Onsite Technical Lead, you will make an impact by leading enterprise data modernization initiatives and helping clients transform their data ecosystems into scalable, cloud-enabled platforms. You will be a valued member of the Data & Analytics team and work collaboratively with client business leaders, architects, cloud teams, database administrators, security stakeholders, and global delivery teams to define data strategies, guide modernization roadmaps, and deliver successful discovery and assessment engagements.
In this role, you will:
- Serve as the primary onsite technical lead, driving stakeholder engagement, discovery workshops, requirements validation, and alignment between client teams and global delivery teams.
- Assess current-state data platforms, data warehouses, integrations, reporting environments, and operational processes to identify modernization opportunities and risks.
- Define target-state data architectures and migration strategies, with a focus on cloud-based data platforms, scalability, governance, security, and performance optimization.
- Provide architectural leadership for enterprise data modernization programs involving SQL Server, Snowflake, AWS, data modeling, data integration, and analytics ecosystems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop implementation roadmaps, align technical recommendations with business objectives, and ensure high-quality delivery outcomes.

What you need to have to be considered
- Proven experience as a Data Architect, Solution Architect, Technical Lead, or similar leadership role supporting enterprise data transformation initiatives.
- Strong expertise with SQL Server data warehouse environments, including relational data modeling, ETL processes, database optimization, and data platform modernization.
- Hands-on knowledge of Snowflake architecture, data migration strategies, performance optimization, security models, and cloud-based analytics solutions.
- Experience working with AWS services and cloud data platforms, including storage, database, networking, security, and integration capabilities.
- Strong understanding of data architecture, data governance, metadata management, lineage, data quality, security, and compliance best practices.
- Experience leading discovery, assessment, and modernization engagements, including current-state analysis and target-state architecture planning.
- Ability to facilitate workshops, manage technical stakeholders, and communicate complex concepts to both technical and business audiences.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and executive presentation skills.

- Experience leading SQL Server to Snowflake migration initiatives within enterprise environments.
- Knowledge of data lineage, dependency analysis, reconciliation frameworks, and enterprise reporting ecosystems.
- Experience working in onsite/offshore delivery models across multiple technical workstreams.
- Expertise in cloud modernization, data platform optimization, and large-scale analytics transformation programs.
- Experience defining implementation roadmaps, effort estimates, resource planning, risk mitigation strategies, and governance frameworks.
Strong consulting skills with the ability to translate business priorities into practical, scalable, and implementation-ready technical solutions.
