About the role

As a Senior Full Stack Engineer, you will make an impact by designing, developing and delivering scalable digital solutions using Java, React JS and AWS cloud services. You will be a valued member of Cognizant’s Digital Engineering team and work collaboratively with client stakeholders, architects and engineering teams to transform solution architecture into reliable application capabilities.

In this role, you will:

· Design and implement full stack application solutions using Java, React JS and AWS services such as AWS Cognito, AWS Lambda, AWS API Gateway, AWS CloudFormation and AWS CodePipeline.

· Translate solution architecture into application capabilities, technical designs, use cases, activity diagrams, data maps, schema designs and database designs.

· Lead technical delivery across microservices-based applications deployed on cloud and on-premises environments.

· Collaborate with client stakeholders to understand, prioritize and refine business requirements using domain-driven design principles.

· Establish quality gates across the software delivery lifecycle, including secure coding practices, code coverage, code formatting standards, branching, merging and commit policies.

· Mentor peers, guide engineering teams and take ownership of deliverables through deployment, release notes and production support.

What you need to have to be considered:

· 8 + years of strong hands-on experience in full stack Java development.

· Experience building and supporting cloud-native applications using AWS Cognito, AWS Lambda, AWS API Gateway, AWS CloudFormation and AWS CodePipeline.

· Experience with front-end development using React JS.

· Experience working with SQL and Oracle databases.

· Experience designing and supporting microservices architecture across cloud and on-premises environments.

· Ability to create technical design documentation, including use cases, activity diagrams, data maps, schema designs and database designs.

· Experience driving production support activities, including root cause analysis, application monitoring and log analysis.

These will help you stand out:

· Experience supporting banking or financial services technology environments.

· Exposure to banking intelligence concepts or related business domains.

· Experience leading technical delivery and mentoring peers in an Agile engineering environment.

· Strong understanding of secure coding, release management and DevOps delivery practices.

· Ability to partner with client stakeholders and translate business priorities into scalable technology solutions.

Salary and compensation:

The annual salary for this position will be between 84,000 CAD to 135,000 CAD per year depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
