Excellent opportunity for Network Engineer to be part of our Cloud Infrastructure & Security services practice. Cognizant Infrastructure Services – Provides IT infrastructure & Cloud services for clients across industry verticals, including both Consulting/Professional and Managed Services, across Enterprise Computing, Cloud services, Security Services, DevOps, Data Centres, End User Computing, Service Desk, Network Services and Environment Management Services.
Role require working from office 5 days a week at Kent Science Park, Sittingbourne .
Key Responsibilities :
- Responsible for core networking and Cisco switching
- Wireless (Meraki), troubleshooting complex issues, driving automation, and maintaining robust network documentation to ensure operational excellence
- Palo Alto firewalls and dynamic routing (OSPF, BGP)
- AWS networking, including Transit Gateways, Attachments, Security Groups, Endpoints, GWLB, ALB, NLB, WAF and more.
- Identifying automation opportunities and collaborating with the automation team to minimize operational overhead
- Develop and maintain comprehensive network documentation
Key Skills and Experience :
- Strong fundamentals in core networking and Cisco switching. Expert in Palo Alto firewalls and dynamic routing (OSPF, BGP), with deep AWS networking experience.
- Skilled in wireless (Meraki), troubleshooting complex issues, driving automation, and maintaining robust network documentation to ensure operational excellence.
- Solid foundation of core networking concepts.
- Proficiency in Cisco switching technologies.(Must)
- Expertise in Palo Alto Networks Firewalls, both physical and virtual. (Must)
- Strong knowledge of dynamic routing protocols, including OSPF and BGP.
- Extensive experience in AWS networking, including Transit Gateways, Attachments, Security Groups, Endpoints, GWLB, ALB, NLB, WAF and more. (Must)
- Strong understanding of wireless technologies, with hands-on experience using Meraki products
- Excellent logical thinking and troubleshooting skills to effectively resolve complex issues.(Must)
- Proficiency in identifying automation opportunities and collaborating with the automation team to minimize operational overhead. (Must)
- Ability to develop and maintain comprehensive network documentation.
