Excellent opportunity for Network Engineer to be part of our Cloud Infrastructure & Security services practice. Cognizant Infrastructure Services – Provides IT infrastructure & Cloud services for clients across industry verticals, including both Consulting/Professional and Managed Services, across Enterprise Computing, Cloud services, Security Services, DevOps, Data Centres, End User Computing, Service Desk, Network Services and Environment Management Services.

Role require working from office 5 days a week at Kent Science Park, Sittingbourne .

Key Responsibilities :

  • Responsible for core networking and Cisco switching
  • Wireless (Meraki), troubleshooting complex issues, driving automation, and maintaining robust network documentation to ensure operational excellence
  • Palo Alto firewalls and dynamic routing (OSPF, BGP)
  • AWS networking, including Transit Gateways, Attachments, Security Groups, Endpoints, GWLB, ALB, NLB, WAF and more.
  • Identifying automation opportunities and collaborating with the automation team to minimize operational overhead
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive network documentation

Key Skills and Experience :

  • Strong fundamentals in core networking and Cisco switching. Expert in Palo Alto firewalls and dynamic routing (OSPF, BGP), with deep AWS networking experience.
  • Skilled in wireless (Meraki), troubleshooting complex issues, driving automation, and maintaining robust network documentation to ensure operational excellence.
  • Solid foundation of core networking concepts.
  • Proficiency in Cisco switching technologies.(Must)
  • Expertise in Palo Alto Networks Firewalls, both physical and virtual. (Must)
  • Strong knowledge of dynamic routing protocols, including OSPF and BGP.
  • Extensive experience in AWS networking, including Transit Gateways, Attachments, Security Groups, Endpoints, GWLB, ALB, NLB, WAF and more. (Must)
  • Strong understanding of wireless technologies, with hands-on experience using Meraki products
  • Excellent logical thinking and troubleshooting skills to effectively resolve complex issues.(Must)
  • Proficiency in identifying automation opportunities and collaborating with the automation team to minimize operational overhead. (Must)
  • Ability to develop and maintain comprehensive network documentation.
