About the Role

Client Relationship Managers (CRMs) are key contributors to the commercial success of Cognizant’s IT and Consulting business. In this high‑visibility role, you will act as a business owner for assigned client accounts, partnering closely with the Client Partner to manage day‑to‑day operations, drive account growth, and ensure delivery excellence.

You will be responsible for managing account P&L, expanding existing engagements, identifying new opportunities, and fostering strong, trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders. This role requires strong business acumen, leadership capability, and a proactive, growth‑oriented mindset.


Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with key client stakeholders
  • Develop a deep understanding of client environments, priorities, and challenges
  • Partner with clients to define business problems and co‑create innovative solutions
  • Drive renewals, extensions, and expansion opportunities, including proactive RFPs and bids
  • Monitor industry trends relevant to client businesses and introduce forward‑looking ideas
  • Serve as the primary day‑to‑day point of contact for assigned clients
  • Own backlog growth, including renewals and extensions of existing engagements
  • Lead onsite project teams and ensure alignment with client expectations and objectives

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in a client‑facing role within a consulting firm or IT professional services / outsourcing environment
  • Proven experience managing client P&L of $15M+, including financial reporting and metric analysis
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent)
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills

Desired Industry Experience

  • Demonstrated industry experience in Travel & Hospitality is strongly desired, including exposure to one or more of the following:
    • Cruise lines, airlines, hotels, resorts, or travel services organizations
    • Customer-facing, high-availability, or safety‑critical operational environments
  • Experience applying industry knowledge to improve service delivery, operational reliability, customer experience, and compliance.
  • Exposure to crew management systems, workforce scheduling, or operations platforms within Travel & Hospitality is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or MBA
  • Background in project‑based environments and application development
  • Demonstrated success in new business development and account expansion
  • Ability to manage multiple complex initiatives in a fast‑paced environment
  • Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to develop strategic, enterprise‑level solutions
  • Comfort working across diverse industries and with both technical and non‑technical audiences

Salary and Other Compensation

The annual base salary for this position is $160,000 - $175,000 USD.

This position is also eligible for additional discretionary performance‑based compensation, subject to the terms of the applicable plan and individual performance.

The salary range provided is a good faith estimate of the base pay for this role and is determined based on factors such as relevant experience, skills, education, geographic location, and business needs at the time of hire.
