About the role

As Vice President – Head of Global Solution Architecture (GSA), you will make an impact by owning and driving end‑to‑end solutioning excellence for Cognizant’s most complex, high‑value, multi‑service‑line transformation pursuits. You will be a valued member of the Global Large Deals leadership community and work collaboratively with Markets, Business Units, Industry leadership, Alliances, and delivery stakeholders across North America.

In this role, you will:

  • Own and drive the enterprise solutioning strategy for strategic and complex pursuits, ensuring integrated, end‑to‑end architectures aligned to buyer value and transformation objectives
  • Shape and differentiate winning solutions through strong solution strategy, pricing logic, win themes, and competitive positioning in partnership with sales and industry leaders
  • Define and govern scalable, secure, and resilient architecture patterns aligned to Cognizant platforms, hyperscaler ecosystems, and industry solutions
  • Establish and govern solution quality, feasibility, and commercial robustness across the full pursuit lifecycle, including executive readiness for negotiations and reviews
  • Build, lead, and develop a world‑class Solution Architect community with clear role clarity, career paths, upskilling, and succession models

What you need to have to be considered

  • Master’s degree in Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, or an MBA from a reputed institution
  • 20+ years of experience in enterprise IT services, digital transformation, or technology consulting
  • Proven executive‑level leadership experience in solutioning and execution for complex, high‑value pursuits
  • Deep expertise across multi‑service‑line solutions including Digital, Cloud, Data, AI, Applications, and Operations
  • Strong commercial acumen including pricing, deal structuring, risk assessment, and negotiation support
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and influence C‑suite executives and senior internal stakeholders
  • Demonstrated leadership aligned to the Cognizant Way to Lead
  • Demonstrated alignment to Cognizant values of Work as One, Dare to Innovate, Raise the Bar, Do The Right Thing, and Own It

These will help you succeed

  • Experience leading global, federated architecture or solutioning organizations
  • Exposure to AI‑led delivery models, platform‑based services, and hyperscaler ecosystems
  • Strong understanding of global delivery models and large‑scale transformation programs
  • Executive storytelling skills with strong presence in high‑stakes environments
  • Ability to operate effectively in a complex, matrixed global organization
