Role: Business Management / Business Analyst
Location: Chennai / Bangalore
Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst/Business Management professional with a strong background in Capital Markets to support transformation initiatives within financial services clients. The ideal candidate will bring deep domain expertise, strong analytical capabilities, and hands-on experience in trade lifecycle management and liquidity risk frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements for capital markets and liquidity risk initiatives.
- Support the design and implementation of solutions related to intraday liquidity risk and trade settlement processes.
- Analyze end-to-end trade lifecycle workflows, identifying gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for optimization.
- Work closely with technology and operations teams to ensure seamless integration of SWIFT-based messaging systems in settlement processes.
- Develop and execute complex SQL queries for data extraction, validation, and analysis to support business decisions.
- Produce high-quality functional documentation, including BRDs, FRDs, process flows, and data mapping documents.
- Participate in testing activities (UAT/SIT), ensuring solution alignment with business requirements.
- Provide insights and recommendations to stakeholders based on data analysis and domain expertise.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in Capital Markets, preferably with exposure to Intraday Liquidity Risk Management.
- Domain Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of the end-to-end trade settlement lifecycle, including front, middle, and back-office processes.
- Hands-on experience with SWIFT messaging standards (MT/MX messages) in trade settlement and payments.
- Technical Skills:
- Advanced proficiency in writing complex SQL queries for data analysis, reconciliation, and reporting.
- Familiarity with data validation, reconciliation processes, and large datasets in capital markets environments.
- Analytical & Functional Skills:
- Strong problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to translate business requirements into functional specifications.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in liquidity risk tools, treasury systems, or regulatory frameworks related to capital markets.
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies and project delivery frameworks.
- Knowledge of financial regulations impacting settlement and liquidity risk (e.g., Basel norms, if applicable).
