About the role
As a Guidewire QA Engineer – InsuranceNow, you will make an impact by ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of enhancements, configurations, and integrations within the Guidewire InsuranceNow platform. You will be a valued member of the delivery team and work collaboratively with Developers, Business Analysts, Technical Leads, and Product stakeholders.
In this role, you will:
• Design and execute functional, integration, and regression test cases for InsuranceNow enhancements and defect fixes
• Validate configurations including rating rules, underwriting workflows, policy changes, and forms generation
• Test API integrations between InsuranceNow and external systems such as portals and third-party providers
• Identify, document, and track defects while supporting resolution across the development lifecycle
• Support UAT, release validation, and production issue investigations to ensure platform stability

What you need to have to be considered
• Experience testing Guidewire InsuranceNow implementations
• Strong experience with test automation and performance testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Java, JUnit, Cypress, Playwright, k6)
• Solid understanding of test planning, test case design, and defect tracking processes
• Experience validating REST APIs, JSON payloads, and integration workflows
• Familiarity with SQL and database validation techniques
• Experience with test management and defect tracking tools such as Jira
• Hands-on experience supporting regression testing during platform upgrades and releases
These will help you stand out
• Strong knowledge of Property & Casualty insurance processes (policy lifecycle, underwriting, rating, billing, renewals)
• Experience with object-oriented test automation frameworks and lifecycle management
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing integration
• Experience working in Agile environments with active participation in sprint ceremonies
• Strong collaboration and communication skills across cross-functional teams

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $71,100 - $112,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
