Role Summary

The Windows Administrator is responsible for administering, maintaining, and supporting Microsoft Windows server environments. This role ensures the availability, performance, security, and reliability of Windows-based infrastructure while supporting operational requirements, patching, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Administer and support Windows Server environments, including installation, configuration, and maintenance.
Perform system monitoring, performance tuning, and capacity planning for Windows infrastructure.
Manage Active Directory services, including user accounts, group policies, and access controls.
Support patching, updates, and vulnerability remediation for Windows systems.
Troubleshoot and resolve system, application, and performance issues.
Implement and maintain backup and recovery processes to support business continuity.
Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and application teams to support enterprise initiatives.
Maintain system documentation, procedures, and operational runbooks.
Support audit and compliance activities by providing technical evidence and documentation.
Participate in after-hours or on-call support as required for critical incidents or maintenance activities.

Required Qualifications

Experience administering Microsoft Windows Server operating systems.
Working knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, and Windows-based infrastructure services.
Experience with system monitoring, patch management, and troubleshooting.
Familiarity with backup, recovery, and disaster recovery practices.
Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional infrastructure and support teams.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in enterprise or regulated IT environments.
Exposure to security best practices for Windows systems.
Familiarity with virtualization platforms and infrastructure automation tools.
Relevant Microsoft or infrastructure certifications.

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 3 days a week in our office in Blue Ash, Ohio. Legal & Work Authorization
