Job Summary

Serve as a functional lead for SAP MM and procurement capabilities driving robust design and optimization of goods physical inventory indirect procurement and spend management processes in a hybrid work model while collaborating with cross functional teams to deliver scalable compliant and efficient day to day operations for a global enterprise.


Responsibilities

  • Drive end to end design and configuration of SAP MM modules to support purchasing inventory management and special procurements in alignment with enterprise standards and business goals.
  • Coordinate closely with business stakeholders to translate indirect procurement and e procurement requirements into practical SAP solutions that enhance process efficiency and compliance.
  • Optimize goods physical inventory processes by configuring cycle counting stock adjustments and movement types that reduce discrepancies and improve stock accuracy across locations.
  • Implement and refine special procurement scenarios such as consignment stock transfer and subcontracting to ensure consistent material availability and cost control.
  • Manage integration points between SAP MM finance and other related modules to secure accurate valuation posting and reporting of procurement and inventory transactions.
  • Develop detailed functional specifications for enhancements and interfaces that extend SAP MM and e procurement capabilities while maintaining system stability.
  • Guide testing cycles by preparing scenarios validating results and coordinating issue resolution to ensure that purchasing and inventory processes run reliably in production.
  • Create and maintain clear process documentation configuration workbooks and user guides that support knowledge transfer and consistent adoption of new functionalities.
  • Provide day to day functional support to end users by troubleshooting procurement and inventory issues identifying root causes and recommending sustainable corrective actions.
  • Analyze spend data and procurement metrics to identify opportunities for savings process simplification and supplier performance improvement.
  • Collaborate with operations finance and sourcing teams to design procurement workflows that balance control compliance and user experience within the SAP landscape.
  • Advise on governance practices for master data approvals and segregation of duties to mitigate operational and compliance risks in purchasing and inventory management.
  • Align daily work with the company mission by ensuring that procurement and inventory processes support responsible sourcing cost efficiency and reliable supply for customers.


Qualifications

  • Possess a minimum of five years and a maximum of nine years of experience working with SAP MM including purchasing inventory management and related components in complex environments.
  • Demonstrate hands on expertise in goods physical inventory processes including stock counting variance analysis and process optimization within SAP.
  • Exhibit strong practical knowledge of SAP special procurements such as consignment stock transfer and subcontracting tailored to diverse business scenarios.
  • Show proven experience in indirect procurement operations within SAP and related tools including catalogs approvals and invoice processing.
  • Bring solid exposure to spend management practices including category strategies supplier performance tracking and compliance monitoring.
  • Display practical experience with e procurement solutions integrated with SAP that improve user adoption and supplier collaboration.
  • Apply a strong understanding of inventory management principles including safety stock reorder strategies and movement analysis to support operational reliability.
  • Communicate effectively with cross functional teams and end users to capture requirements explain solutions and promote best practices without technical jargon.
  • Maintain familiarity with industry trends in digital procurement and inventory optimization to continuously recommend incremental improvements.
  • Adhere to hybrid work expectations by collaborating effectively through digital tools while maintaining productivity and accountability across remote and onsite activities.


Certifications Required

SAP Certified Application Associate in SAP ERP Procurement or SAP S 4HANA Sourcing and Procurement or equivalent procurement certification.
