Senior Full Stack Engineer
About the role
As a Full Stack Software Engineer, you will make an impact by designing, developing, and delivering high-quality, scalable applications across both front-end and back-end systems. You will be a valued member of the engineering team and work collaboratively with cross-functional stakeholders, including product managers, architects, and fellow developers.

In this role, you will:
- Design, develop, and maintain full stack applications using modern front-end and back-end technologies
- Build responsive, user-friendly interfaces using frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js
- Develop and integrate robust APIs and back-end services using technologies such as Node.js, Python, or Java
- Work with relational and NoSQL databases to ensure data integrity and performance
- Deploy and support scalable applications in cloud environments while following best practices for CI/CD and version control

What you need to have to be considered
- 6+ years of experience as a Full Stack Software Engineer or in a similar role
- Strong proficiency in front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue.js)
- Solid experience in back-end development using Node.js, Python, Java, or similar technologies and frameworks such as Express, Django, or Spring Boot
- Hands-on experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, DynamoDB)
- Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, including deploying scalable applications
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines
- Strong understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns, and best practices
These will help you stand out
- Experience building and optimizing highly scalable and high-performance distributed systems
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills with attention to detail
- Experience working in Agile or DevOps environments
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with a proactive, team-oriented mindset

The annual salary for this position is between $75,000 - $130,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
