Cognizant is seeking a Principal Cloud Architect for a full-time opportunity. The candidate can work out of the office location in Montpelier, VA or Addison, TX.

Responsibilities:
· Work with stakeholders to discuss and sign off on ARR design documents.
- Utilize Terraform, PowerShell, and Python scripts for Azure DevOps Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Create frameworks for cloud environments, compliance, access controls, and data security.
- Configure DevOps deployments using Jenkins, Terraform, and GitHub for CI/CD.
- Work with microservices, specifically Azure Container Services (ACS) and Azure Kubernetes Services (AKS).
- Configure Azure Infrastructure services, including Azure Active Directory, Application Gateways, Azure DNS, Storage Accounts, Virtual Networks, ExpressRoute, Monitor, Log Analytics, and Cost Management.
- Automate processes using Azure CLI, Azure Cloud Shell, PowerShell, and Terraform.
- Configure Azure Resource Groups, App Services, Database, Data Storage, CosmosDB, and Blob.
- Manage CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and Red Hat OpenShift to streamline software delivery.
- Leverage Kubernetes to orchestrate and manage Docker containers for scalability and efficient resource utilization.
- Work with Azure Native services, including Azure App Services, Functions, AKS, ML AI services, Azure SQL, Storage, vNet Hub and Spoke models, Key Vault, Security Groups, DataLake, and EventHub.
Qualifications:
• 15+ years of hands-on infrastructure experience with at least 5 years in a technical team leadership role.
• 6+ years of hands-on experience and knowledge working in public cloud technologies and solutions (Azure Preferred)
• 4+ years of hands-on experience with Kubernetes, including deploying, managing, and scaling containerized applications in production environments
• 3+ years of hands-on experience and knowledge of platform architecture and technologies .Virtualization Technologies (VMWare, Hyper-V, etc.)
• Public Cloud (Azure, GCP, AWS, etc.)
• Networking (CDN, SD Wan, Load Balancing, WAF, etc.)
• Systems Administration (Windows, Linux, Active Directory, SCCM, etc.)
• Automation Technologies (CI/CD, Infrastructure-As-Code, etc.)
The base salary range for this role is $137,000 to $161,000 depending on skills and qualifications of the candidate. Applications will be accepted till 6/7/2026.
