Job summary
GeoSpatial Senior Analyst MAP with eight to eleven years of experience will design develop and optimize high performance geospatial applications using programming expertise in C C plus plus IBM TPF Assembler and IBM z TPFDF in a hybrid work model while ensuring stability scalability and business value for a global enterprise client.
Responsibilities
Develop complex geospatial application components using C and C plus plus to process high volume spatial datasets with strong emphasis on runtime efficiency and memory optimization.Design modular geospatial services that integrate with IBM TPF based systems to support robust transaction processing for aviation or travel industry platforms.Implement and optimize IBM TPF Assembler routines that handle low latency request flows and ensure reliable execution in high availability environments.Configure and maintain IBM z TPFDF databases to support efficient retrieval and update of mapping and navigation data structures aligned with business rules.Debug intricate production incidents by tracing C and C plus plus code paths and TPF Assembler flows to rapidly identify root causes and propose preventive improvements.Collaborate with architecture and infrastructure teams to define performance benchmarks and capacity strategies for geospatial workloads running on TPF based platforms.Prepare detailed technical design documents that describe algorithms data structures and integration patterns used in geospatial applications to support future maintenance and reuse.Create unit tests component tests and integration tests for C and C plus plus modules and TPF Assembler routines to improve reliability and reduce regression risk.Coordinate closely with map data providers and internal data engineering teams to validate data quality coverage and update cycles for geospatial datasets used by business applications.Automate build and deployment pipelines for TPF and z TPFDF components in alignment with hybrid work practices to improve consistency and reduce manual errors.Analyze production monitoring metrics and logs to identify performance bottlenecks in geospatial computations and recommend tuning or refactoring strategies.Engage with product and business stakeholders to translate functional requirements related to routing mapping or geo analytics into precise technical designs and implementation plans.Document operational runbooks and troubleshooting guides for day support teams to enable efficient handling of incidents within day shift schedules and hybrid work arrangements.
Qualifications
Possess extensive hands on experience of eight to eleven years in C and C plus plus development on large scale performance sensitive systems preferably in travel or aviation domains.Demonstrate strong proficiency with IBM TPF Assembler programming including debugging performance tuning and deployment on mission critical platforms.Show practical experience with IBM z TPFDF including schema design indexing strategies and transactional access patterns for high volume operational data.Apply solid understanding of data structures algorithms and operating system fundamentals to design efficient geospatial processing workflows.Utilize prior exposure to geospatial concepts such as coordinates projections and routing logic even if gained through domain projects rather than formal academic programs.Exhibit effective collaboration skills in hybrid work environments including clear written communication code reviews and participation in remote design discussions.Display familiarity with secure coding practices version control workflows and automated testing techniques suitable for enterprise development teams.Adapt quickly to evolving business requirements by learning new tools libraries or frameworks that complement existing C and TPF based solutions.Maintain strong problem solving and analytical skills to independently investigate complex system behavior and provide high quality technical solutions.
