Job Summary
Serve as a product specialist focusing on Mendix based applications translating business needs into secure and scalable low code solutions for global stakeholders in a hybrid work model. Collaborate with cross functional teams to enhance digital journeys for life and annuities insurance processes while ensuring high quality delivery maintainability and user satisfaction across the product lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to analyze product requirements and convert them into detailed Mendix application specifications that support measurable business outcomes in a hybrid working environment.
- Design Mendix application features with emphasis on scalability performance and maintainability so that product releases remain stable and easy to enhance over time.
- Configure and build Mendix modules microflows and pages to deliver intuitive user experiences that streamline complex insurance and financial service processes.
- Optimize existing Mendix applications by refining data models refactoring logic and improving user journeys to reduce operational effort and processing time.
- Coordinate with quality engineering teams to define test scenarios support defect triage and validate fixes so that releases meet agreed acceptance criteria and compliance needs.
- Document functional behavior configuration decisions and user guidance for Mendix solutions to ensure smooth knowledge transfer and efficient onboarding of new team members.
- Partner with operations and support teams to monitor Mendix application health analyze incidents and implement preventive improvements that enhance availability and reliability.
- Engage with product owners to prioritize backlog items estimate effort and plan sprints that align with organizational priorities and customer value objectives.
- Apply secure coding and configuration practices within Mendix to protect sensitive customer and policyholder data and to comply with enterprise security standards.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by proposing enhancements to development workflows reuse patterns and automation that increase delivery speed and consistency.
- Collaborate with integration specialists to connect Mendix applications with core systems external services and data sources using approved enterprise integration patterns.
- Communicate progress risks and dependencies clearly to project partners ensuring transparent status reporting and timely escalation of potential delivery issues.
- Guide peers by sharing Mendix product knowledge reusable components and best practices so that the overall capability of the product team improves.
Qualifications
- Demonstrate solid hands on experience in Mendix development including data modeling microflow design and front end configuration gained over three to six years of professional work.
- Show practical experience in end to end software delivery within agile teams including refinement development testing support and release activities.
- Exhibit familiarity with life and annuities insurance concepts such as policy management claims handling and underwriting processes that inform effective product design.
- Apply knowledge of relational databases basic query optimization and structured data handling when building and tuning Mendix applications.
- Display strong problem solving and analytical skills that enable fast understanding of business issues and effective design of Mendix based solutions.
- Demonstrate clear written and verbal communication skills that support collaboration with business stakeholders analysts architects and quality engineers.
- Show readiness to work in a hybrid model during day shifts while coordinating effectively with distributed teams across multiple locations.
Certifications Required
Mendix Intermediate or Advanced Developer certification is highly valued.
