Job Summary
Drive design and delivery of scalable data platforms as an Architect with ten to fourteen years of experience using Python data engineering feature store (Feast / Tecton / Cassandra) PySpark GCP BigQuery. Partner with cross functional teams to convert complex business needs into robust analytics solutions that improve decisions and create clear value for clients and society.
Responsibilities
- Design end to end data architectures that use Python data engineering feature store (Feast / Tecton / Cassandra) PySpark GCP BigQuery to deliver resilient and scalable analytics platforms that align with enterprise standards and client expectations.
- Develop reusable data processing frameworks using PySpark that optimize performance reduce compute costs and improve data quality for critical reporting and advanced analytics.
- Implement efficient data lake and data warehouse models on cloud platforms that support batch and near real time pipelines while ensuring consistency across multiple business domains.
- Collaborate closely with product owners data analysts and application engineers to translate ambiguous business questions into clear technical designs and implementation roadmaps.
- Review and refine existing Spark and Databricks workloads to identify tuning opportunities that reduce run times improve resource utilization and increase overall platform stability.
- Create detailed architectural diagrams technical specifications and data flow documentation that help stakeholders understand dependencies and long term impacts of design decisions.
Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $120-123Kdepending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
