Job Summary
Seeking an Infra Dev Specialist with six to ten years of experience to design automate and optimize monitoring solutions using Splunk within a hybrid work model. The role focuses on resilient infrastructure robust observability and scalable log analytics for cards and payments systems while enabling faster incident resolution and secure operations aligned with enterprise standards.
Responsibilities
Design and implement resilient infrastructure monitoring solutions using Splunk to provide proactive visibility into critical enterprise systems and ensure high service availabilityDevelop and maintain reusable Splunk configurations including indexes searches and dashboards that support standardized observability across hybrid environmentsBuild automated ingestion pipelines in Splunk for logs metrics and events from diverse infrastructure components to improve data quality and timeliness of operational insightsOptimize Splunk searches alerts and dashboards to reduce query latency improve resource utilization and enhance the experience of operations and engineering teamsCollaborate with platform and application teams to translate infrastructure and business requirements into actionable Splunk based monitoring use cases that support clear service level objectivesConfigure robust alerting strategies in Splunk that minimize noise yet ensure swift detection of anomalies and incidents across day shift operations for critical servicesDocument monitoring architectures runbooks and Splunk usage guidelines in a clear and reusable format to support consistent adoption across teams and reduce onboarding timeCoordinate with security and compliance stakeholders to implement Splunk configurations that support audit readiness data governance and safe handling of sensitive transaction informationAnalyze production incidents and trends using Splunk to identify recurring patterns and recommend infrastructure improvements that reduce downtime and enhance customer experiencePartner with cards and payments domain specialists when available to tailor monitoring views that reflect authorization settlement and transaction flows and highlight business relevant risksSupport continuous improvement initiatives by evaluating new Splunk features and infra automation practices that can enhance reliability while optimizing operational cost and resource footprintGuide peers on best practices for logging standards tagging conventions and data onboarding so that Splunk datasets remain consistent discoverable and easy to correlate across platformsCoordinate with global teams in a hybrid working model ensuring effective handoffs knowledge sharing and alignment on monitoring strategies without requiring travel
Qualifications
Possess six to ten years of hands on experience in infrastructure engineering or operations with a strong focus on observability automation and environment stabilityDemonstrate advanced proficiency in Splunk implementation including data onboarding search processing knowledge objects dashboards and alerting for large scale environmentsApply sound knowledge of operating systems networks middleware and cloud components to design meaningful Splunk monitoring solutions that accurately reflect infrastructure healthUtilize scripting or automation tools such as Python PowerShell or similar technologies to streamline Splunk configuration deployment and log onboarding workflowsLeverage any exposure to cards and payments systems when available to design monitoring views that align with transaction integrity fraud detection signals and service reliability expectationsCommunicate clearly with technical and nontechnical stakeholders to explain Splunk insights incident findings and recommended improvements in a concise and outcome oriented mannerAdapt effectively to hybrid work arrangements by using collaboration tools structured documentation and disciplined time management to support global teams across shared projects
