About the role
As a Senior Security Engineer, you will make an impact by leading the implementation and optimization of Tenzai security solutions while strengthening enterprise Threat & Vulnerability Management (TVM) capabilities. You will be a valued member of the Cyber, Data & Security team and work collaboratively with Engineering, DevOps, and Risk & Compliance stakeholders.
In this role, you will:
- Lead the onboarding, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of Tenzai security solutions across the enterprise
- Design and implement scalable security processes to support Tenzai deployment and ongoing operations
- Integrate Tenzai with existing security tools, platforms, and workflows to ensure seamless functionality
- Conduct proactive vulnerability assessments and ethical hacking activities to identify and mitigate risks
- Continuously enhance security posture through process optimization, automation, and tool improvements
Work model

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 2 to 3 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Toronto, Ontario. What you need to have to be considered
- 6–8 years of experience in Cybersecurity, Security Engineering, or a related field
- Hands-on experience with Tenzai implementation, configuration, and ongoing support
- Strong expertise in designing and implementing enterprise-scale security processes
- Practical knowledge of ethical hacking and penetration testing techniques
- Experience with vulnerability management tools and security orchestration platforms
- Ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams
These will help you stand out
- Experience working within Threat & Vulnerability Management (TVM) programs
- Familiarity with integrating security solutions into complex enterprise environments
- Strong process-oriented mindset with a focus on scalability and automation
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into actionable insights
- Certifications in cybersecurity or ethical hacking (e.g., CEH, OSCP)

We regularly assess market data to ensure we offer a competitive compensation package for our associates. The base salary for this position ranges between $ 105,000 - $120,000 per year. Where the successful candidate may fall within the range depends on relevant education, work and/or management experience and other business-related and job-necessary qualifications. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual performance-based bonus, as well as benefits that support your physical, mental and financial wellbeing.
