About the role
As a Gen AI Technical Documentation & Business Analyst, you will make an impact by enabling enterprise adoption of AI-assisted development tools through high-quality documentation, process optimization, and data-driven insights. You will be a valued member of the AI & Engineering Enablement team and work collaboratively with developers, QA teams, product owners, and AI specialists, and clients.
In this role, you will:
Develop and maintain high-quality technical documentation, user guides, and knowledge assets for Gen AI coding assistant tools (GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, OpenAI Codex)
Analyze business and system requirements to support the implementation and adoption of Gen AI development tooling across engineering teams
Define, document, and optimize process workflows for AI-assisted coding, including SDLC integration, governance, and best practices
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to translate complex technical concepts into clear, structured, and user-friendly documentation
Perform system and data analysis to identify optimization opportunities, ensure data integrity, and support AI model usage and performance tracking
Work model

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 2 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in New Jersey. What you must have to be considered
Experience in technical documentation, business analysis, or similar roles within software engineering or AI/technology environments
Strong understanding of SDLC processes and experience supporting developer workflows
Experience working with Gen AI tools such as GitHub Copilot, OpenAI Codex, or similar AI-assisted development platforms
Ability to analyze business and system requirements and translate them into clear documentation and process flows
Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills across engineering, QA, and product teams
These will help you succeed
Experience defining governance frameworks or best practices for AI-assisted development
Knowledge of prompt engineering, AI model documentation, and usage guidelines
Familiarity with data analysis and performance tracking for AI/ML models
Experience working in Agile or product-driven environments
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail
