Enterprise Architect – Core Banking

About the role

As an Enterprise Architect – Core Banking, you will make an impact by driving core banking transformation programs, architecture strategy, and execution across large-scale engagements. You will be a valued member of the ISG team and work collaboratively with stakeholders across architecture, delivery, product, engineering, and client leadership teams.


In this role, you will:

Core Banking Strategy & Delivery Leadership

  • Own and drive enterprise core banking delivery across the project span. Define target-state core banking operating models, balancing agility, resilience, regulatory compliance, cost optimization, and scalability of the delivery team. Lead delivery across retail, SMB, commercial, and wholesale banking in a federated or multi-entity banking environment from Architecture perspective

Technology & Platform Modernization

  • Drive product upgrade programs, migration from legacy core banking systems to modern, API-driven, cloud-native platforms supporting real-time processing and open banking standards. Oversee implementation or modernization of core banking engines, product processors, middleware integration layers, and data platforms. Champion automation, data-driven insights, and platform reusability across core banking domains including accounts, loans, payments integration, and customer data

ISG Capability building and Proposal Support

  • Lead the development and scaling of product architect expertise across core banking platforms including Temenos Transact (T24), Oracle FLEXCUBE, Infosys Finacle, Thought Machine Vault, Ohpen, and Mambu within the ISG delivery organization. Drive a structured capability-building agenda covering AI initiatives, product certification, hands-on lab environments, solution accelerators, and reusable asset development to build platform-skilled talent across onshore and offshore teams. Partner with vendors and alliance teams to translate evolving product roadmaps and best practices into delivery-ready competencies, while establishing communities of practice to foster crossplatform learning and reduce delivery risk

Program & Execution Ownership for Banking Architecture

  • Run complex, multi-stream core banking programs spanning technology, operations, risk, and change management. Coordinate delivery across product, engineering, operations, and external partners (including core banking vendors like Temenos, Finacle, FIS, Thought Machine, or Mambu), ensuring execution velocity and outcome ownership. Establish measurable outcomes tied to risk reduction, operational efficiency, straight-through processing (STP), and customer experience improvements

What you need to have to be considered:

  • 20+ years in IT Industry with strong capability in Technical / Transformation of large core banking transformation deals
  • Proven track record in managing global delivery programs, multi-country transitions architecture needs
  • Experience of managing regional delivery and tier 1 clients involving multi-phase, global transformation initiatives to modernize technology, architecture
  • Extensive experience designing and governing enterprise and solution architectures for Tier-1 banks across APAC, Europe, and North America
  • Trusted advisor to CIOs, CTOs, and Architecture Review Boards, with deep expertise in Temenos platforms, hybrid cloud architectures, API-led integration, DevSecOps enablement, and regulatory-compliant banking solutions
  • Deep experience across core banking technical landscape
  • Experience modernizing core banking platforms – Hands-on exposure to delivering from legacy monolithic core systems to modern, cloud-native, product upgrades, API-first core banking platforms, including open banking integration and digital channel enablement
  • Exposure to one or more core banking products such as Temenos Transact (T24), TAP, and other banking product suite
