Job Summary
This role focuses on configuring health care benefit administration solutions within a hybrid work model for a global organization using strong expertise in MS Excel and Excel services on Sharepoint while supporting pharmacy benefit management operations during night shifts to ensure accurate benefit data smooth plan execution and reliable reporting for clients and members.
Responsibilities
- Configure health care benefit plans using MS Excel to support accurate pharmacy benefit configurations that ensure consistent and compliant benefit administration for clients and members during night shifts.
- Develop and maintain detailed configuration templates in MS Excel that align with pharmacy benefit management rules and business policies ensuring that all benefit attributes are clearly documented and easy to audit.
- Validate complex benefit data sets using advanced MS Excel functions to identify discrepancies outliers and missing information so that downstream processing and reporting remain reliable and error free.
- Utilize Excel services on Sharepoint to publish and manage configuration workbooks enabling controlled access centralized storage and version integrity for cross functional benefit operations teams.
- Coordinate with benefit analysts and operations specialists to interpret benefit administration requirements in the pharmacy benefit management domain and translate them into precise configuration logic within Excel based tools.
- Execute configuration test cases using MS Excel and related utilities to confirm that pharmacy benefit scenarios calculate correctly documenting outcomes and coordinating remediation activities when defects are detected.
- Create and maintain configuration run books in a structured format using Sharepoint based repositories so that configuration steps dependencies and validation checkpoints are clearly described and reusable across client implementations.
- Monitor nightly or scheduled processing events that rely on configuration files investigating data errors or processing failures using Excel driven analysis and escalating issues to appropriate stakeholders with well documented findings.
- Collaborate with quality and compliance teams to ensure that benefit configuration activities support regulatory expectations for pharmacy benefit management and internal control standards established by the organization.
- Support service teams by producing custom Excel reports from configured benefit data enabling timely insights on claim impacts member outcomes and financial performance for clients in the pharmacy benefit management space.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by proposing optimization ideas for configuration templates Excel macros and Sharepoint workflows that reduce manual effort and improve consistency of benefit administration.
- Document configuration decisions and rationales in Sharepoint based knowledge repositories so that future team members can understand context reuse prior work and maintain continuity when requirements evolve.
- Engage in cross training with peers on benefit administration concepts PBM terminology and advanced Excel practices to broaden configuration coverage and strengthen overall team resilience in a hybrid and night shift environment.
Qualifications
- Possess professional experience ranging from two to four years in application configuration or operations within health care or pharmacy benefit management with direct exposure to benefit administration workflows.
- Demonstrate strong proficiency in MS Excel including formulas pivot tables data validation and basic automation techniques that support complex benefit calculations and configuration quality checks.
- Bring practical knowledge of Excel services on Sharepoint to manage shared workbooks control permissions and maintain a single source of truth for benefit configuration artifacts across distributed teams.
- Show hands on domain experience in benefit administration for pharmacy benefit management with familiarity in plan design formulary structures copay rules and network considerations that influence configuration logic.
- Exhibit experience working in hybrid and night shift models with disciplined time management and communication habits that ensure seamless collaboration with global colleagues and business stakeholders.
- Display analytical thinking problem solving skills and attention to detail that enable accurate interpretation of benefit requirements and precise construction of Excel based configuration solutions.
