Salesforce Technical Lead
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Salesforce Technical Lead to lead the design, development, integration, and delivery of Salesforce solutions for Insurance clients. This role requires a hands-on technical leader who can guide development teams, drive architectural decisions, establish best practices, and ensure successful project delivery across global teams.

Key Responsibilities
· Lead the design, architecture, and implementation of Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning, and Salesforce platform technologies.
· Drive technical decision-making, including evaluating configuration versus custom code approaches.
· Oversee the development of scalable solutions across Salesforce Sales Cloud and Service Cloud environments.
· Lead the design and implementation of integrations using REST, SOAP, and Web Service APIs.
· Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and delivery teams to define technical strategies and roadmaps.
· Guide development teams to ensure solution quality, performance, scalability, and compliance with best practices.
· Conduct code reviews, mentor developers, and promote technical excellence across the team.
· Own technical estimates for design, development, testing, deployment, and training activities.
· Coordinate with client stakeholders and offshore teams to ensure successful project execution
Required Qualifications
- 9+ years of overall Salesforce experience with strong technical leadership capabilities.
- 6+ years of experience delivering solutions on Salesforce Sales Cloud and Service Cloud.
- 3+ years of experience designing and implementing Salesforce integration solutions using REST, SOAP, and Web Service APIs.
- Minimum 1 year of experience supporting Insurance clients.
- Proven experience leading cross-functional, distributed, and offshore delivery teams.
- Deep understanding of Salesforce architecture, design patterns, and platform best practices.
- Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies and sprint-based delivery models.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
Required Certifications
- Salesforce Platform Developer I
- Salesforce Administrator
- Salesforce Integration Architect
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading enterprise Salesforce transformation programs.
- Additional Salesforce Architect certifications.
- Experience performing solution governance and technical architecture reviews.
- Prior experience in client-facing consulting or leadership roles.
Salary and Other Compensation
The annual salary for this position is between $115,000 and $140,000, depending on experience, skills, and qualifications.
This role is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program based on performance, in addition to a comprehensive benefits package.
