Senior Kotlin Backend Developer
Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Kotlin Backend Developer with strong expertise in Spring Boot to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate brings several years of hands‑on experience in backend development, modern deployment practices, and cloud‑native environments. This role involves building high‑quality applications, mentoring junior developers, and contributing to continuous improvement across the development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Application Development — Design, develop, and maintain Android, web, and backend applications using Kotlin.
API Engineering — Build robust, scalable APIs using Kotlin with Spring Boot.
Build & CI/CD — Manage build processes with Gradle and deploy applications through Azure DevOps pipelines.
Containerization — Create and maintain Dockerized application environments.
Kubernetes Deployment — Deploy and manage applications in Kubernetes clusters for scalability and reliability.
Cross‑functional Collaboration — Work closely with developers, project managers, and stakeholders to deliver high‑quality solutions.
Code Quality — Write clean, efficient, and well‑documented code following industry best practices.
Testing & Debugging — Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure performance and stability.
Mentorship — Support and mentor junior developers to foster growth and team productivity.
Continuous Improvement — Stay updated with emerging technologies and contribute to process and performance enhancements.
Required Experience & Skills
Several years of proven experience in backend development with a strong focus on Kotlin.
Several years of experience aligned with the responsibilities listed above.
Proficiency in Kotlin, Spring Boot, Gradle, Azure DevOps, Docker, and Kubernetes.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
Familiarity with CI/CD best practices.
Knowledge of additional programming languages or frameworks.
