Job Summary

We are seeking a Full Stack Technical Lead to drive the successful delivery of complex technology initiatives while serving as a trusted technical partner to customers and internal stakeholders. This role combines technical leadership, delivery ownership, and team coordination responsibilities across multiple agile squads. The ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on expertise in React.js and Node.js, a solid understanding of cloud and DevOps practices, and the ability to engage confidently with highly technical customers to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions.


About the Role

As a Full Stack Technical Lead, you will play a pivotal role in leading the delivery of full-stack solutions while acting as the primary technical interface for customer engagements. You will be responsible for coordinating multiple squads, ensuring successful execution of project objectives, and driving collaboration across distributed teams and stakeholders.

In this role, you will leverage your hands-on experience with React.js, Node.js, APIs, integrations, Azure cloud technologies, and modern development practices to guide technical decisions and support delivery excellence. You will also serve as an onshore coordinator, facilitating communication between customers and offshore teams, managing dependencies, and helping resolve technical and delivery challenges.

The successful candidate will be a strong technical leader who can balance strategic oversight with hands-on involvement, foster high-performing teams, and deliver innovative solutions that meet customer expectations and business goals.

In This Role You Will

 Act as the primary technical liaison for customer engagements, confidently interacting with highly technical stakeholders to discuss solutions, address challenges, and drive alignment.

 Lead end-to-end delivery efforts, ensuring projects are executed successfully and meet quality, timeline, and business objectives.

 Provide leadership and direction across multiple agile squads, fostering collaboration, prioritization, and consistent execution.

 Serve as the onshore coordinator between customers, business stakeholders, and distributed delivery teams, ensuring effective communication and seamless project execution.

 Drive technical discussions, resolve delivery roadblocks, and facilitate decision-making to support successful outcomes.

 Monitor project progress, manage dependencies and risks, and ensure timely delivery of commitments across squads.


Work Model

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is an onsite position requiring 2-3 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Toronto, ON.

What you need to have to be considered

 Strong hands-on experience in full-stack application development using React.js and Node.js.

 Solid understanding of DevOps principles, deployment processes, and modern software delivery practices.

 Practical experience using AI-powered development tools, such as GitHub Copilot or Microsoft Copilot, to improve development efficiency and code quality.

 Exposure to Microsoft Azure cloud services and cloud-based application environments.

 Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, system integrations, and service-oriented architectures.

 Proven ability to design, develop, and troubleshoot integrated solutions across multiple systems and platforms.

 Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze and resolve complex technical challenges.

 Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Salary and Other Compensation:

We regularly assess market data to ensure we offer a competitive compensation package for our associates. The base salary for this position ranges between CAD $75,000.00 – 117,500.00 per year. Where the successful candidate may fall within the range depends on relevant education, work and/or management experience and other business-related and job-necessary qualifications. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual performance-based bonus, as well as benefits that support your physical, mental and financial wellbeing.
