About the role
As a Product Specialist, you will make an impact by leading Facets configuration design and implementation activities that support critical healthcare operations and business transformation initiatives. You will be a valued member of the Healthcare Consulting team and work collaboratively with business stakeholders, operations teams, product owners, network management, care management, and technology partners to deliver scalable and reusable Facets solutions.
In this role, you will:
Lead the design and configuration of Facets solutions within your assigned functional domain, including Claims & Utilization Management, Provider, Membership & Enrollment, or Product & Benefits.
Translate approved business requirements into effective configuration solutions that support organizational goals and operational efficiency.
Participate in global and detailed design sessions, providing subject matter expertise and configuration leadership.
Collaborate with cross-functional business and technology teams to develop scalable, sustainable, and reusable configuration solutions.
Support quality assurance and user acceptance testing activities, including test planning, execution, and issue resolution.
Ensure configuration documentation is accurate, complete, and approved by key business stakeholders.
Provide recommendations on business process improvements and optimization opportunities utilizing Facets functionality.
Develop and present clear written and verbal communications, including configuration recommendations, findings, and project updates.

What you need to have to be considered
Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
5+ years of healthcare industry experience.
5+ years of hands-on Facets configuration experience in at least one of the following domains:
Claims and Utilization Management (UM)
Provider and NetworX Pricing
Membership, Enrollment, Eligibility, Billing, and Accounting
Product and Benefits
Strong experience translating business requirements into Facets configuration solutions.
Experience participating in design workshops, testing activities, and implementation projects.
Ability to create and maintain configuration documentation and process artifacts.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across business and technical teams.
These will help you stand out
Experience supporting large-scale healthcare transformation or Facets modernization initiatives.
Expertise across multiple Facets functional modules.
Knowledge of healthcare payer operations, provider management, utilization management, enrollment, benefits, or claims processing.
Experience leading configuration workstreams and coordinating cross-functional stakeholders.
Proven ability to identify process improvement opportunities and recommend scalable solutions.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
Experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery environments.

The annual salary for this position will be in the range of $82K - $90K depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
