Job Summary

Lead Quality Engineer role in a global technology enterprise responsible for designing and executing end to end quality strategies for complex insurance platforms that rely on SQL API testing Tosca DI Tosca Playwright Ruby on Rails and Ruby. The role focuses on ensuring reliable digital experiences for Property and Casualty Insurance and Life and Annuities Insurance customers in a hybrid day shift work model without travel.


Responsibilities

  • Lead cross functional quality initiatives that enhance reliability of core insurance platforms for Property and Casualty and Life and Annuities products in alignment with business objectives and regulatory expectations.
  • Drive comprehensive test strategy creation that integrates SQL validation API testing and front end automation to deliver stable and high performing policy administration and claims processing solutions.
  • Design and maintain robust SQL based data validation frameworks that ensure accuracy of rating underwriting billing and financial transactions across multiple insurance lines.
  • Develop and refine API test suites that validate integrations between policy systems billing platforms customer portals and external data providers to support seamless digital journeys.
  • Build and optimize Tosca and Tosca DI automation assets that cover complex end to end scenarios including policy issuance endorsements renewals claims lifecycle and annuity payouts.
  • Implement Playwright based UI automation for web applications that support agents underwriters and customers ensuring consistent user experience across browsers and environments.
  • Guide engineering teams in applying Ruby and Ruby on Rails based test solutions that efficiently validate application logic service integrations and reporting functions.
  • Collaborate with product owners and business analysts to translate insurance domain requirements into clear test scenarios data sets and acceptance criteria that reduce defect leakage.
  • Establish quality gates metrics and dashboards that provide transparent visibility into defect trends coverage levels and release readiness for hybrid teams working in day shift.
  • Coordinate with developers architects and operations teams to triage complex defects analyze root causes and define corrective actions that prevent recurrence and optimize system stability.
  • Champion continuous improvement of test processes automation frameworks and tooling to shorten release cycles while preserving strong quality for customers and partners.
  • Support compliance and audit activities by ensuring test evidence traceability and documentation accurately reflect controls for Property and Casualty Insurance and Life and Annuities Insurance solutions.
  • Mentor quality engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing on SQL API testing Tosca Playwright and Ruby based quality practices that elevate overall team capability.


Qualifications

  • Bring extensive experience in SQL based data querying and validation that supports accurate rating financial reconciliations and regulatory reporting for insurance platforms.
  • Demonstrate deep proficiency in API testing tools and methodologies that secure and stabilize integrations among policy management claims billing and customer engagement systems.
  • Apply advanced hands on skills in Tosca and Tosca DI to design modular reusable automation components that cover complex business flows and data intensive scenarios.
  • Leverage solid experience with Playwright to create resilient cross browser UI tests that verify accessibility usability and performance of agent and customer facing applications.
  • Utilize practical expertise in Ruby and Ruby on Rails to script automated tests utilities and harnesses that streamline validation of business logic and service orchestration.
  • Exhibit strong domain knowledge in Property and Casualty Insurance and Life and Annuities Insurance including policy lifecycle underwriting claims and annuity servicing processes.
  • Operate effectively in a hybrid work model and day shift environment while coordinating with distributed stakeholders to maintain consistent communication and delivery outcomes.


Certifications Required

Preferred certifications include ISTQB Advanced Test Automation Engineer and insurance domain certifications such as AINS or equivalent.
