About the role
As an AI Engineer, you will make an impact by designing and enabling AI-driven cloud solutions that help organizations accelerate innovation and business value. You will be a valued member of the engineering team, collaborating with architects, developers, data professionals, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and modern solutions leveraging AWS cloud technologies and AI/ML capabilities.
In this role, you will:
- Design and implement cloud-native solutions using AWS services across Analytics, Compute, Database, Application Integration, and Serverless technologies.
- Partner with Agile teams to define scalable architectures and deliver high-quality software solutions aligned with business objectives.
- Apply AI/ML capabilities, patterns, and integration approaches to support intelligent business applications and digital transformation initiatives.
- Establish and promote best practices for data security, ingestion, warehousing, storage, and governance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to evaluate requirements, recommend technical solutions, and communicate architectural decisions effectively.

What you need to have to be considered
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in IT, software engineering, solution architecture, or business technology development.
- 2+ years of experience working with AI/ML technologies, capabilities, integration patterns, and enterprise use cases.
- Proven experience designing, architecting, and developing solutions using AWS Cloud technologies.
- Hands-on knowledge of AWS services across Analytics, Application Integration, Compute, Database, and Serverless categories.
- Strong understanding of data standards, including security, ingestion, warehousing, and storage practices.
- Experience collaborating within Agile delivery teams and applying software engineering best practices.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills.
These will help you stand out
- Experience with Snowflake data platform.
- Experience with data integration tools such as Matillion, Pentaho, or IBM DataStage.
- Knowledge of APIs, Apigee, developer portals, JSON, and RESTful services.
- Proficiency in Python, R, and predictive analytics techniques.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Ansible, and Nexus.
- Familiarity with DevOps and DevSecOps practices and tools including Jenkins, Git, GitHub, Chef, Puppet, and Packer.

Salary and Other Compensation:
Applications will be accepted until July 26, 2026.
The annual salary for this position is between $ 115,000 - $ 130,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
