SAP Functional Consultant – ServiceMax / OTC / Plant Maintenance

About Cognizant
Cognizant is seeking an experienced SAP Functional Consultant to support global SAP project execution activities across ServiceMax, Order-to-Cash (OTC), and Plant Maintenance (PM) processes. The successful candidate will support projects throughout the entire lifecycle, working closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, architects, and external vendors to deliver high-quality SAP solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver functional SAP project execution activities within project assignments to ensure consistent, harmonized, and optimal delivery within the Project Management Framework (PMF).
- Support project activities throughout the entire lifecycle, including design, IT testing, UAT, implementation, cutover execution, and hypercare support.
- Effectively manage relationships with internal business partners and project stakeholders.
- Work with internal and external vendor teams to deliver Change Requests within established SLAs.
- Collaborate with other SAP Functional Leads to deliver a seamless global project execution model.
- Partner with the Architecture team to design solutions that meet business requirements and deliver projects based on functional specifications.
- Collaborate with the ETO application team and follow their guidance on project delivery.
- Coordinate development activities and monitor progress with development teams.
- Support Root Cause Analysis activities for project delivery issues.
- Translate business requirements into clearly defined tasks and deliverables.
- Provide excellent customer service and stakeholder support.
- Communicate effectively with executives, managers, subject matter experts, and project stakeholders.
- Work creatively and analytically in complex problem-solving environments.
- Collaborate effectively with global and cross-functional teams.
OTC (SAP SD) Responsibilities
- Configure and support core OTC processes:
- Sales Orders
- Deliveries
- Billing
- Pricing Procedures
- Output Determination
- Set up Customer Master Data.
- Configure and support Credit Management processes.
- Configure and support Returns Processing.
- Support Intercompany Sales scenarios.
ServiceMax Responsibilities
- Configure and support ServiceMax processes including:
- Work Orders
- Service Contracts
- Entitlements
- Preventive Maintenance Scheduling
- Field Technician Dispatch
- Integrate ServiceMax with SAP SD/CS and SAP ECC/S/4HANA environments.
- Support order, billing, and inventory flows between ServiceMax and SAP systems.
Plant Maintenance (PM) Responsibilities
- Configure and support PM master data, including:
- Functional Locations
- Equipment Masters
- Maintenance Plans
- Task Lists
- Work Order Management
- Configure preventive and corrective maintenance processes.
- Support notifications, work order creation, scheduling, completion confirmation, and settlement processes.
- Support settlements to Cost Centers and Internal Orders.
Required Qualifications
- Experience supporting SAP OTC, Plant Maintenance (PM), and/or ServiceMax processes.
- Experience supporting SAP projects across the full project lifecycle.
- SAP ECC6 and/or SAP S/4HANA implementation experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to work effectively with global and cross-functional teams.
- Agile experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with regulatory compliance requirements including GxP and ISO.
- Experience supporting global or cross-functional teams.
