Role Summary
The Service Line Sales Specialist (SLS) will drive growth for Cognizant's Automation and AI practice within the Healthcare portfolio, focusing on payer and provider organizations. This role combines consultative sales, client relationship management, automation solutioning, and healthcare domain expertise to identify, shape, and close transformation opportunities centered around Intelligent Automation, RPA, AI, Generative AI, and Agentic AI solutions.
The ideal candidate possesses a blend of healthcare industry knowledge, technology consulting experience, and sales acumen, with the ability to engage business and technology stakeholders, develop trusted relationships, and lead automation-led transformation conversations from qualification through closure.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive revenue growth and achieve sales targets within the Healthcare vertical.
- Identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities.
- Develop strategic account growth plans for healthcare clients.
- Build relationships with C-level executives, business stakeholders, and technology leaders.
- Lead RFI/RFP responses, proposals, presentations, and solution discussions.
- Collaborate with delivery, consulting, solution architects, and industry teams to create differentiated offerings.
- Manage the complete sales lifecycle from opportunity identification through contract closure.
- Expand Cognizant's footprint within existing healthcare accounts and acquire new logos.
- Provide market insights on healthcare industry trends, digital transformation, AI, analytics, cloud, interoperability, and regulatory requirements.
- Create and maintain a healthy sales pipeline and accurate forecasts.
Required Qualifications
- 15+ years of experience in IT services, consulting, or healthcare industry sales.
- Minimum 5+ years of Healthcare domain experience with excellent understanding of healthcare payer and provider business processes.
- Experience working with large healthcare organizations such as health plans, insurers, provider networks, or healthcare service organizations.
- Knowledge of enterprise automation platforms including UiPath, Power Automate, and Automation Anywhere.
- Working understanding of AI, Generative AI, LLMs, Agentic AI, and automation technologies.
- Proven ability to build executive-level relationships and drive complex opportunity pursuits.
- Experience engaging both business and technology stakeholders.
- Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and consultative selling skills.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of healthcare payers, providers, life sciences, or healthcare technology ecosystems.
- Understanding of healthcare regulations and compliance requirements.
- Experience with digital health, data modernization, AI/GenAI, analytics, cloud transformation, and interoperability platforms.
- Strong proposal development and presentation capabilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a matrixed global organization.

- Annual bookings and revenue growth.

Compensation and Benefits
The annual base salary for this position is between $175,000 - $195,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
