About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Data Modeler to join our Data & Analytics practice. This hybrid role is focused on designing and governing enterprise data models for a global organisation operating within the Banking and Financial Services sector.

The successful candidate will work closely with business Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), governance teams, architects, and engineering squads to create robust conceptual, logical, and physical data models that support analytics, regulatory reporting, operational excellence, and digital transformation initiatives.

This role requires a strong blend of technical expertise, business understanding, and stakeholder collaboration. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering high-quality data models, enabling trusted enterprise data assets, and supporting modern data-driven decision-making across the organisation.


Key Responsibilities

• Apply strong proficiency in enterprise data modelling techniques to design and deliver high-quality conceptual, logical, and physical data models

• Create and maintain Conceptual, Logical, and Physical Data Models using PowerDesigner, ERwin, or equivalent modelling tools

• Collaborate with business SMEs, architects, analysts, and data governance teams to gather requirements and translate business concepts into scalable data models

• Apply Banking and Financial Services (BFS) data modelling knowledge to support enterprise data initiatives and business transformation programmes

• Leverage knowledge of Teradata Financial Services Logical Data Model (FSLDM) to align enterprise data structures with industry-standard banking data frameworks

• Resolve data model ambiguities, conflicts, and data definition issues through collaboration with business stakeholders and domain experts

• Ensure regulatory reporting requirements, including COREP, FINREP, and related reporting obligations, are accurately represented and preserved within data models

• Support business validation activities, testing initiatives, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) processes to confirm data model accuracy and business alignment

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Strong expertise in Enterprise Data Modeling

• Strong understanding of Logical and Physical Data Modeling principles and methodologies

• Good knowledge of Banking Data Models and Banking & Financial Services domain processes

• Knowledge of Teradata Financial Services Logical Data Model (FSLDM) is highly desirable

• Good understanding of Mortgage and Lending domain data structures and business processes

• Strong SQL skills for data analysis, validation, and model verification activities

• Experience supporting Metadata Management, data governance, and data lineage initiatives


Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of enterprise data governance frameworks and metadata management practices

• Familiarity with regulatory data requirements within Banking and Financial Services organisations

• Understanding of modern cloud-based data platforms and enterprise analytics ecosystems

• Experience supporting large-scale data transformation and modernisation programmes
