Job Summary

Service Manager with eight to twelve years of experience responsible for ensuring stable and efficient Tandem based services within a hybrid work model handling day time operations and incident management while collaborating with cross functional teams to support secure and resilient cards and payments solutions that align with business goals and customer expectations.


Responsibilities

  • Manage end to end service operations for Tandem based platforms to ensure consistent availability and reliability for business critical workloads.
  • Coordinate incident response activities for Tandem environments to achieve rapid restoration of service and clear communication to stakeholders.
  • Monitor system performance metrics on Tandem platforms to proactively identify bottlenecks and initiate corrective actions before customer impact occurs.
  • Drive root cause analysis for recurring Tandem incidents to define permanent corrective measures and reduce future service disruptions.
  • Collaborate with application infrastructure and security teams to plan and execute Tandem changes while minimizing risk to production services.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed service documentation runbooks and standard operating procedures for Tandem environments to support efficient operations.
  • Define and track service level objectives for Tandem services to align operational performance with business expectations.
  • Coordinate service readiness activities for new or enhanced Tandem features ensuring appropriate testing deployment planning and operational handover.
  • Engage with business stakeholders in the cards and payments domain to understand service needs and translate them into operational requirements.
  • Implement and refine monitoring alerting and reporting practices for Tandem services to enhance visibility and operational control.
  • Guide continuous improvement initiatives focused on automation standardization and process optimization within the Tandem service landscape.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies regulatory expectations and audit requirements related to Tandem services and associated data.
  • Communicate service status risks and remediation plans clearly and regularly to management and relevant stakeholders to maintain transparency.


Qualifications

  • Provide proven experience of eight to twelve years in managing services for Tandem based systems including incident problem and change management activities.
  • Demonstrate strong understanding of Tandem operating environments including performance tuning batch processing and integration with upstream and downstream systems.
  • Exhibit practical exposure to cards and payments processes such as transaction processing settlement reconciliation and authorization flows as a desirable skill.
  • Apply working knowledge of service management frameworks like ITIL to structure operational practices for Tandem services.
  • Display proficiency in using monitoring and logging tools to track Tandem system health and generate actionable insights.
  • Show capability to document technical procedures service workflows and operational guidelines in a clear and maintainable manner.
  • Maintain effective communication skills to collaborate with technical and non technical partners within a hybrid work model and day shift schedule.
