Lead Solutions Engineer -Remote in US
Cognizant is seeking a Lead Solutions Engineer to join our team. This is a remote role that combines software engineering expertise, customer-facing consulting, and solution delivery.
The ideal candidate will bring strong technical skills, experience collaborating with business and technical stakeholders, and a background supporting solutions within the Fast Food / Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) industry. This position requires a hands-on professional who can bridge business needs and technology solutions while driving innovation and delivering measurable outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Partner directly with clients to understand business objectives, challenges, and technical requirements.
- Design, develop, and support scalable software solutions and integrations.
- Translate business requirements into technical designs and implementation plans.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Build, optimize, and support data-driven applications and workflows.
- Lead technical discussions and provide recommendations on solution architecture and best practices.
- Drive project execution while balancing business priorities and technical excellence.
- Support solution deployment, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Engage with stakeholders to identify opportunities for innovation and process optimization.
- Contribute to product strategy and solution roadmap discussions.
Required Qualifications
- 6-8 years of professional software development experience.
- Experience in a client-facing technical role such as Solutions Engineer, Forward Deployed Engineer, Technical Consultant, or Technical Lead.
- Experience within the Fast Food / Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) industry.
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- SQL Server
- Python
- JavaScript
- PL/SQL
- MySQL
- Angular 2+
- Node.js
- Experience developing, maintaining, and supporting enterprise applications.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to effectively interact with both technical and business stakeholders.
- Experience working in fast-paced, collaborative environments.
Work Authorization

Salary and Other Compensation
The annual salary for this position is between $60,000 - $82,000, depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
