About the Role
As an Identity & Access Management Engineer, you will make an impact by designing, implementing, and optimizing secure identity and access solutions that safeguard enterprise assets, enhance operational resilience, and ensure compliant access for a diverse global workforce.
You will be a valued member of the Cybersecurity team, working collaboratively with security operations, infrastructure, risk, compliance, and audit stakeholders across a dynamic hybrid work environment.
Work Model
We believe hybrid work is the way forward as we strive to provide flexibility wherever possible. Based on this role's business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring you to work both remotely and from a Cognizant or client office in the Netherlands. Regardless of your working arrangement, we are here to support a healthy work-life balance through our various wellbeing programs.
The working arrangements for this role are accurate as of the date of posting. This may change based on the project you're engaged in, as well as business and client requirements. Rest assured — we will always be clear about role expectations.
In This Role, You Will
Lead end-to-end IAM engineering — design and implement secure identity and access management solutions, ensuring full alignment with enterprise security policies and regulatory expectations to protect critical assets and data.
Own access governance — develop and maintain access policies that balance robust security controls with a seamless user experience, minimizing operational friction across all business units.
Manage identity lifecycle operations — administer provisioning, deprovisioning, and access change processes to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant access for all user populations at every stage of the employee journey.
Drive access reviews and certifications — conduct regular access review campaigns to identify and remediate inappropriate entitlements and measurably reduce the risk of unauthorized access.
Detect, investigate, and respond — perform in-depth analysis of authentication and authorization events to identify anomalies, investigate security incidents, and recommend actionable preventive improvements.
What You Need to Have to Be Considered
6–10 years of cybersecurity or identity management experience, with a strong focus on planning, implementing, and operating enterprise-grade IAM solutions.
Deep, hands-on expertise in identity and access management platforms, including configuration, administration, policy management, identity lifecycle, and access governance capabilities.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capability to interpret complex identity-related issues, audit logs, and metrics, and translate findings into clear, actionable remediation steps.
These Will Help You Stand Out
Practical exposure to IT operations or service management environments, managing IAM workloads with a focus on stability, repeatable processes, and continuous improvement.
Experience integrating identity platforms with monitoring tools or security operations workflows to improve incident detection and response.
We're excited to meet people who share our mission and can make an impact in a variety of ways. Don't hesitate to apply, even if you only meet the minimum requirements listed. Think about your transferable experiences and unique skills that make you stand out as someone who can bring new and exciting things to this role.
