Job Summary

ETL Developer - Sr Developer with eight to ten years of experience will design and optimize robust data integration solutions using Informatica Powercenter and PowerExchange SQL PL SQL ETL and data warehousing concepts in a hybrid work model. The role focuses on building scalable data pipelines ensuring data quality and supporting business analytics while collaborating across teams in a day shift environment.


Responsibilities

  • Design and implement complex ETL workflows using Informatica Powercenter and PowerExchange to deliver reliable data integration solutions that support critical business reporting and analytics needs.
  • Optimize PL SQL procedures and SQL queries to improve performance stability and scalability of data processing jobs while ensuring efficient resource usage across enterprise data platforms.
  • Develop and maintain robust data pipelines that move and transform data across heterogeneous systems by applying strong data warehousing concepts and best practices in dimensional modeling and normalization.
  • Collaborate with business analysts and data consumers to translate functional requirements into technical ETL designs that accurately capture data transformation rules and business logic for downstream consumption.
  • Monitor daily batch runs and real time data integration processes to proactively identify issues analyze root causes and implement corrective actions that maintain high data availability and integrity.
  • Create and maintain detailed technical documentation for ETL jobs database objects and data flows to ensure clear traceability easier onboarding of new team members and smoother handovers during project transitions.
  • Implement data quality checks validation rules and reconciliation routines within ETL workflows to reduce defects enhance trust in analytical outputs and support regulatory and audit requirements.
  • Coordinate deployments of data integration components across development test and production environments by following standardized release processes and ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Use Unix shell scripting to automate routine operational tasks such as job scheduling file handling and log management thereby improving productivity and reducing manual intervention.
  • Collaborate in a hybrid work model with distributed team members using clear communication and structured status updates to ensure alignment on priorities timelines and delivery expectations.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by evaluating new Informatica features data integration patterns and performance tuning techniques that enhance platform efficiency and business value.
  • Support incident resolution and defect fixes in a day shift schedule by analyzing issues in ETL workflows SQL scripts and Unix jobs and implementing robust long term solutions that prevent recurrence.
  • Mentor junior developers through code reviews knowledge sharing sessions and guidance on ETL design standards to uplift overall team capability and project execution quality.


Qualifications

  • Demonstrate advanced proficiency in Informatica Powercenter and PowerExchange including mapping design session configuration and workflow orchestration for large scale data integration projects.
  • Show strong command of PL SQL and SQL with the ability to write complex queries stored procedures and performance tuned scripts for transactional and analytical data processing.
  • Apply deep understanding of data warehousing concepts including star schemas slowly changing dimensions and fact table design to build scalable and maintainable analytical data structures.
  • Exhibit practical expertise in ETL methodologies such as extraction strategies transformation patterns and load optimization techniques tailored for high volume enterprise data environments.
  • Utilize solid experience in data integration to connect diverse source systems and targets ensuring consistent data definitions standardized interfaces and dependable data movement.
  • Use Unix shell scripting skills to create automation utilities for job control error handling and environment housekeeping contributing to smoother operations and reduced manual workload.


Certifications Required

Informatica Certified Professional Oracle PL SQL Developer Certified Associate
