This hybrid role is for a senior developer with seven to eight years of experience specializing in Informatica cloud platforms cloud data warehousing and data integration. The position focuses on designing scalable data lake solutions optimizing complex SQL driven workflows and automating data processes using Unix shell scripting. The role enables robust analytics and supports enterprise decision making in a day shift environment.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement end to end data integration workflows using Informatica Cloud and related components to ensure reliable movement and transformation of data across enterprise platforms.
- Optimize complex SQL queries and stored procedures for cloud data warehouse environments to improve performance scalability and consistency of analytical reporting solutions.
- Develop and maintain data lake ingestion and processing frameworks that support structured and semi structured datasets while aligning with enterprise data architecture standards.
- Configure and manage Informatica Cloud Scheduler to orchestrate batch and near real time jobs ensuring predictable execution windows and minimal disruption to downstream consumers.
- Automate operational tasks with Unix shell scripting to streamline deployment monitoring and recovery procedures for critical data pipelines in a hybrid work model.
- Collaborate with data architects and business partners to translate data requirements into robust technical designs that directly support strategic analytics and regulatory reporting needs.
- Implement data quality checks validation routines and reconciliation processes within Informatica Cloud workflows to improve trust in curated datasets used by decision makers.
- Monitor production data integration jobs using command line interfaces and platform dashboards to proactively identify issues and drive timely remediation actions.
- Document technical designs job configurations data mappings and runbooks in a clear manner to support operational excellence and knowledge sharing within the development team.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing pipeline performance metrics and recommending targeted enhancements for throughput and reliability.
- Align development practices with security and compliance guidelines to protect sensitive data assets and support responsible use of information across the organization.
- Support root cause analysis for data incidents by tracing data flows across data lake cloud warehouse and integration layers and proposing sustainable corrective measures.
- Provide mentoring and technical guidance to peers on Informatica Cloud features data lake concepts and scripting practices to strengthen collective engineering capabilities.
Qualifications
- Exhibit strong proficiency in Informatica Cloud including configuration of connections mappings and jobs with hands on experience using cloud command line interfaces for operational control.
- Demonstrate solid understanding of data lake concepts including ingestion patterns storage zones and processing strategies for large scale analytical datasets.
- Show advanced experience with SQL in cloud data warehouse contexts using complex joins window functions and optimization techniques tailored for modern columnar storage engines.
- Apply practical knowledge of Informatica Cloud Scheduler to design dependable job schedules calendars and dependencies that align with business service level expectations.
- Use Unix shell scripting experience to build automation utilities log handlers and deployment scripts that simplify management of critical integration workflows.
- Bring well rounded background in data integration practices including source to target mapping error handling strategies and performance tuning across heterogeneous data sources.
- Combine experience in cloud data warehouse technologies with sound understanding of normalization and denormalization to craft efficient models for analytics and reporting.
- Communicate effectively with technical and nontechnical stakeholders to explain data design decisions integration tradeoffs and operational impacts in an accessible manner.
Certifications Required
Preferred certifications include Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services certification or similar cloud data integration credentials.
