Job Summary
GenAI Test Automation Lead
We are seeking a highly experienced GenAI Test Automation Lead to drive quality engineering initiatives for next-generation AI-powered solutions. This role will be responsible for defining and executing comprehensive testing strategies for GenAI applications, AI agents, AI bots, and enterprise web applications while leading automation transformation efforts across the testing lifecycle.
The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in test automation frameworks, AI testing methodologies, quality governance, and stakeholder management. In addition to leading test strategy and execution, this individual will play a key role in advancing GenAI adoption within Quality Engineering through AI-assisted testing practices, GitHub Copilot enablement, and automation innovation. Experience in Property & Casualty Insurance, Claims Processing, and large-scale enterprise testing environments is highly desirable.

About the Role
As a GenAI Test Automation Lead, you will lead the quality engineering strategy for AI-driven platforms and business-critical applications, ensuring the delivery of secure, scalable, and high-quality solutions. You will collaborate with business stakeholders, development teams, product owners, and offshore QA teams to establish testing standards, drive automation adoption, and validate the performance and reliability of AI-enabled systems.
This role offers the opportunity to shape the future of AI-powered quality engineering while leading the testing strategy for innovative solutions within the Property & Casualty insurance domain.
In this role, you will:
- Design testing strategy for Gen Ai BoTs
- Testing of End user UI application
· Identify automation scope, coverage, and tool/framework selection
- Coordinate with offshore QA leads and teams on Test execution, Defect management, Automation development
- Track test progress, coverage, and execution results and report to stakeholders
- Review and sign off on deliverables; Ensure adherence to QA standards, processes, and compliance
- Provide daily/weekly dashboards and executive summaries
· Use metrics for decision-making and continuous improvement

Required Qualifications
- Experience: 10-15 years QA, 5+ years automation
- Core Skills: Selenium/Playwright, API testing, CI/CD, frameworks
- Good Testing skills including test plan, test strategy, Defect Management process
- Very good knowledge in Property and Casualty domain
- Good understanding of Property claims and Claim processing
- UI testing and Integration testing expertise
- Experience in Oracle and PLSQL database
- Experience to test automation through Robot framework with playwright for UI applications
- Experience in test framework creation and maintenance
- Expertise in Gen AI Agent development
- Experience in Gen AI implementation and adoption in testing lifecycle specifically in GitHub Copilot implementation
- Experience in testing of AI models, AI BoTs
· Good Communication skills and stake holder management skills

Salary and Other Compensation:
Applications will be accepted until September 20th , 2026.
The annual salary for this position is between $70,000 - $112,500 depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
