Job Summary

This back office role focuses on supporting loan origination operations for a leading multinational company within a professional office based environment using strong MS Excel skills to maintain accurate data reports and loan processing trackers. The position involves collaborating with loan processing teams to ensure timely and compliant completion of originations while learning core concepts in title functions and mortgage originations with a clear focus on quality and customer centric outcomes.


Responsibilities

  • Support end to end loan origination activities by preparing and maintaining accurate data in MS Excel trackers ensuring timely progression of each application through defined workflow stages.
  • Prepare detailed loan level reports in MS Excel by consolidating data from multiple internal systems enabling transparent status visibility for stakeholders and efficient issue resolution.
  • Validate source documents and basic eligibility information against predefined checklists to reduce processing errors and support compliant loan origination decisions.
  • Coordinate with internal operations teams through email and ticketing tools to clarify missing information and ensure smooth movement of files without delays.
  • Update workflow management tools with current loan status notes after each processing step so that teams have up to date information for subsequent actions.
  • Review loan data for completeness and consistency using simple MS Excel formulas and filters to identify discrepancies before files are moved to downstream teams.
  • Document recurring issues identified during daily processing and share them with the supervisor to support continuous improvement of templates and standard operating procedures.
  • Follow documented operating procedures and compliance guidelines precisely to protect customer information and maintain regulatory aligned processing standards.
  • Assist in preparing daily and weekly productivity and quality reports using MS Excel pivot tables or summary sheets to help management monitor performance trends.
  • Collaborate with quality reviewers by promptly addressing feedback comments and reworking affected records so that rework effort and cycle time are minimized.
  • Support basic analysis of volume patterns and processing time using MS Excel charts which helps in better work allocation and forecasting for the team.
  • Participate in process knowledge sessions and refresher trainings to build growing familiarity with loan origination concepts and organization specific policies.
  • Contribute to a culture of customer focus by ensuring that assigned tasks are completed accurately within expected timelines which ultimately supports responsible credit access in the broader community.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrate working knowledge of MS Excel including use of formulas filters sorting and basic pivot tables to manage structured data and prepare operational reports.
  • Exhibit foundational understanding of loan processing or financial operations gained through academic projects internships or up to two years of professional experience in similar environments.
  • Show interest in learning title functions within mortgage loan processes including document verification and basic ownership checks as relevant to support tasks.
  • Display awareness of mortgage origination concepts such as application intake documentation review and coordination with downstream underwriting or decisioning teams.
  • Communicate clearly in spoken and written form with internal teams to document issues escalate blockers and confirm completion of required actions.
  • Adhere consistently to defined work schedules for day shift office based operations and maintain reliability in meeting turnaround time expectations.
  • Adapt quickly to new tools templates and workflows by following guidance from supervisors and process documentation while maintaining high attention to detail.
  • Maintain strong ethical standards and respect for confidential information ensuring responsible handling of customer and financial data at all times.


Certifications Required

Preferred certifications include MS Excel specialist or equivalent spreadsheet skills credential and basic finance or banking operations certification from a recognized institute.
