Senior Business Analyst (MES Manufacturing Systems)
About the role
As a Senior Business Analyst, you will make an impact by driving requirements analysis, process optimization, and solution design for Manufacturing Execution System (MES) initiatives supporting Industry 4.0 transformation programs. You will be a valued member of the manufacturing solutions team and work collaboratively with business stakeholders, plant operations teams, automation engineers, developers, quality teams, maintenance teams, and IT partners across global locations.
In this role, you will:
- Lead requirements gathering, analysis, and documentation for MES solutions supporting manufacturing operations.
- Facilitate workshops and stakeholder discussions to define business processes, functional requirements, and user stories.
- Analyze current and future-state manufacturing processes including production execution, quality management, maintenance, inventory, and work order management.
- Create functional specifications, user stories, workflows, and solution designs that guide MES development and implementation teams.
- Partner with business and technical stakeholders to support Industry 4.0 initiatives, system deployments, and continuous process improvement efforts.

What you need to have to be considered
- 10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Functional Consultant, Manufacturing SME, or similar role within manufacturing technology environments.
- Proven experience gathering requirements, writing functional specifications, and creating user stories for enterprise applications.
- Strong knowledge of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), digital manufacturing, Industry 4.0, automation, and plant operations.
- Experience supporting manufacturing functions such as production planning, shop-floor execution, quality management, maintenance, inventory, and work order management.
- Experience working with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools such as Jira and/or Azure DevOps.
- Strong analytical, documentation, stakeholder management, and workshop facilitation skills.
- Professional fluency in both English and Spanish, with the ability to effectively communicate between business and technical teams.
These will help you stand out
- Experience supporting MES implementations in discrete manufacturing environments.
- Knowledge of real-time manufacturing systems, OEE solutions, IoT platforms, and cloud-based industrial applications.
- Experience with SAP or other ERP integrations within manufacturing ecosystems.
- Understanding of data acquisition systems, industrial devices, and integration middleware.
- Familiarity with UX design principles and user-centered solution design.
