The Opportunity
Cognizant is seeking an accomplished Service Line Specialist, Associate Director to drive growth of our Cloud Infrastructure and Security (CIS) service line across enterprise clients in Hong Kong. The successful candidate will shape and articulate a cohesive business, architecture, and domain vision spanning cloud, infrastructure, end-user computing, and cybersecurity, ensuring client objectives translate precisely into winning solutions.
This is a strategic, client-facing role for a technical and commercial leader who can drive seamless business-IT transformation through domain mastery, solution architecture skill, and an AI Builder mindset that connects AI and automation opportunities to measurable client value.
Key Responsibilities
• Solution leadership: Work hands-on with customers, partners, and internal teams to translate the customer's vision into a winning Cloud Infrastructure and Security solution.
• Business alignment: Collaborate with customers to understand business objectives, working across teams to orchestrate those objectives into a compelling solution response.
• Service line ownership: Act as the single point of contact for Cloud Infrastructure and Security service line growth across the Hong Kong client portfolio.
• Technical vision: Develop and articulate cohesive technical and architectural visions, bringing competency groups together to deliver core objectives and providing thought leadership across the CIS domain.
• IT transformation strategy: Ensure alignment of systems with business objectives and lead strategic decision-making for cloud, infrastructure, and security transformation initiatives.
• Design and architecture: Perform design and architecture of business and IT solutions, and provide high-level business consulting to clients.
• Pre-sales and assessment: Conduct requirements-gathering analysis and workshops, develop pre-sales solutions, and perform technical assessments across cloud and security engagements.
• Technical leadership and negotiation: Provide technical leadership and strong negotiation skills in multi-party, multi-stakeholder environments.
• Program governance: Monitor and manage timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder communication across the pursuit lifecycle.
Performance Measures
• Revenue and Total Contract Value (TCV) generated from Cloud Infrastructure and Security service line pursuits in Hong Kong.
• Win rate on CIS solution proposals and pre-sales pursuits.
• Quality and timeliness of solution design, architecture, and technical assessment deliverables.
• Client and stakeholder satisfaction across the pursuit cycle and delivery handoff.
• Effectiveness of cross-functional collaboration with competency, delivery, and partner teams.
• Growth of CIS pipeline and joint go-to-market offers developed with product and hyperscaler partners.
Candidate Profile
• IT services sales and solutioning experience: 15+ years of professional experience, with demonstrated IT services sales, pre-sales, or solutioning experience gained within Tier-1 global systems integrators (GSIs) — distinct from, and in addition to, general Cloud, Infrastructure, or Security technical, program, or account management experience.
• Domain expertise: Deep expertise in Cloud, Infrastructure, End User Computing, and Cybersecurity transformation, migration, and business-transformation programs.
• Technical breadth: Experience across multiple technology platforms and implementations, including end-to-end solution design and architecture.
• Consulting and pre-sales acumen: Strong grounding in business consulting, requirements analysis, pre-sales solutioning, joint go-to-market offer development, and domain thought leadership.
• Leadership: Demonstrated technical leadership and project/program management capability, with strong decision-making and strategic, analytical thinking.
• Commercial acumen: Working knowledge of requirement sizing methods, commercial offer construction, cloud hosting platforms, and industry solutions from leading product and hyperscaler vendors.
• AI Builder positioning: Brings an AI Builder mindset — able to identify and translate AI and automation opportunities into cloud, infrastructure, and security solutions that convert client AI investment into measurable enterprise value.
• Communication and collaboration: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across diverse internal and external teams.
• Certifications: Relevant cloud or security certifications (e.g., AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, CISSP) are preferred but not required.
