Job Summary
We are seeking a Quality Engineer with 2 to 4 years of experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in SQL Jira Ruby and Tosca with a preference for those familiar with Property & Casualty Insurance or Life and Annuities Insurance. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to work on innovative projects in a day shift without the need for travel.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute test plans to ensure software quality and functionality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve software defects.
- Utilize SQL for data validation and to support testing activities.
- Implement automated testing scripts using Ruby and Tosca to enhance testing efficiency.
- Track and manage defects using Jira to ensure timely resolution.
- Conduct root cause analysis to identify and address underlying issues.
- Provide feedback and recommendations for process improvements to enhance product quality.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in software testing.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates on testing progress and outcomes.
- Stay updated with the latest testing tools and methodologies to continuously improve testing processes.
- Contribute to the development of testing documentation and guidelines.
- Support the team in achieving project milestones and deliverables. Qualifications
- Demonstrate proficiency in SQL Jira Ruby and Tosca for effective testing.
- Possess strong analytical skills to identify and resolve software issues.
- Exhibit excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
- Have a keen eye for detail to ensure thorough testing and quality assurance.
- Show familiarity with Property & Casualty Insurance or Life and Annuities Insurance as a plus.
- Display the ability to work independently and as part of a team in a hybrid work model.
- Demonstrate a proactive approach to learning and adapting to new technologies.
Certifications Required
ISTQB Certified Tester Certified Software Quality Analyst (CSQA)
