Cognizant is seeking a consultative IoT Solutions Sales Specialist – Manufacturing & Automotive to accelerate growth within our IoT & Engineering – Manufacturing practice. This role is designed for a proven industry specialist who can translate complex engineering and Industry 4.0 capabilities into measurable business outcomes for large manufacturing enterprises.
You will own strategic Manufacturing accounts and drive revenue growth across Product Engineering, ER&D, IoT, Digital Manufacturing, Sustainability and Smart Operations. Working closely with global delivery, consulting, and alliance teams, you will shape solution strategies, build executive relationships, and close high‑value, multi‑year transformation programs with Fortune 500 clients.
This role carries end‑to‑end ownership—from pipeline creation and deal orchestration to revenue, bookings, and portfolio P&L performance.

Responsibilities
· Define and execute a growth strategy for IoT & Engineering offerings across Industry 4.0, MOM/MES, WES, APM, Digital Thread, PLM, Product Engineering, and ER&D
· Own and expand a portfolio of Manufacturing accounts, driving net‑new revenue and wallet share growth
· Build trusted relationships with C‑suite and senior engineering, operations, and IT leaders
· Lead complex, consultative sales cycles including proactive pursuits, RFPs, and large transformation deals
· Partner with delivery, solution, and industry teams to shape differentiated offerings, pricing, and value propositions
· Manage account planning, pipeline forecasting, and financial performance, including revenue and TCV targets
· Operate effectively in a global, matrixed organization, aligning stakeholders across sales, consulting, delivery, and alliances
Qualifications
· 13+ years of experience in Manufacturing‑focused sales, business development, or consulting roles
· Strong domain expertise prior to sales experience across industrial and process manufacturing environments
· Demonstrated success selling complex engineering, digital, or IoT solutions to large enterprises
· Proven ability to influence and engage senior executives through consultative, value‑based selling
· Experience working with global delivery models and ecosystem partners (hyperscalers, OEMs, niche technology providers)
· Excellent communication, executive presentation, and stakeholder management skills
· Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent technical discipline
Preferred Qualifications
· Prior experience selling or consulting in Industry 4.0, Smart Manufacturing, Sustainability or Digital Engineering transformations
· Background in Product Engineering, ER&D services, or manufacturing software platforms (MES, PLM, APM, Digital Thread)
· Thought leadership or advisory experience with senior manufacturing and operations leaders
· Track record of consistently meeting or exceeding large‑scale revenue and booking targets
· MBA or advanced technical degree
