About the Role

As a Cloud Back-End Software Developer, you will make an impact by designing, building, and optimizing back-end applications and automations that power our client's mission-critical cloud and infrastructure services. You will be a valued member of a highly technical engineering team supporting a wide range of private and public cloud environments, including VMware-based platforms, Azure, AWS, self-service portals, provisioning/orchestration systems, and Managed OS services.

You will collaborate closely with technical specialists, process engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders while contributing to roadmap developments that drive performance, security, and scalability across the entire service landscape.


In This Role, You Will

  • Design and implement back-end solutions supporting VMware-based services, including automation and orchestration components.
  • Develop software and automation using PowerShell and PowerShell Universal, including API development and integration.
  • Build and maintain monitoring solutions and chain/process observability tooling.
  • Work independently and in Agile teams to deliver roadmap initiatives.
  • Contribute to secure-by-design architectures with a strong focus on performance, resilience, and scalability.

What You Need to Have to Be Considered

  • Extensive experience developing in PowerShell (expert level).
  • Experience building and maintaining back-end services and APIs.
  • Knowledge of VMware environments and modern cloud architectures.
  • Experience with message bus technologies (e.g., MQTT).
  • Strong understanding of security, performance optimization, and scalability principles.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a technical team.
  • Strong analytical skills, problem-solving mindset, and a proactive attitude.
  • Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English, with the ability to transfer knowledge effectively.

These Will Help You Stand Out

  • Background with VMware automation tooling.
  • Experience developing monitoring and observability solutions.
  • Familiarity with containerization and modern CI/CD practices.
  • Experience with PowerShell Universal Dashboard.
  • Broader experience integrating cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) with VMware-based services.
