Position Summary:
Full time Lead Frontend Developer supporting Australia’s digital banking platforms, with responsibility for leading frontend delivery across multiple high impact card related initiatives, including Reissue Card, Lost & Stolen Cards, Physical and Digital Card Activation.
The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining secure, scalable, and customer facing web applications used by millions of users across Australia. The position requires strong hands-on frontend expertise, team leadership, and close collaboration with UX, backend, and product teams based in Australia.

Mandatory Skills:
•Commercial experience as a Frontend Developer / Lead Frontend Developer
•Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+)
•Extensive hands-on experience with React.js, Redux and modern frontend frameworks
•Experience developing secure, responsive, and cross browser web applications
•Strong understanding of WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards
•Experience integrating frontend applications with RESTful APIs
•Proficiency in Git, CI/CD pipelines, and version control best practices
•Knowledge of frontend security principles, performance optimization, and secure coding
•experience working in Agile / Scrum delivery models
•Proven ability to lead and mentor frontend developers

Duties and Responsibilities:
•Lead frontend development across multiple digital banking projects, including card management and activation workflows
•Design, develop, and maintain enterprise grade frontend components for customer facing banking applications
•Translate business, functional, and UX requirements into scalable frontend solutions
•Develop reusable, maintainable UI components following best practices and coding standards
•Ensure compliance with Australian regulatory, security, and accessibility requirements
•Collaborate with UX designers to deliver consistent and accessible customer experiences
•Work closely with backend teams to integrate APIs and optimize performance
•Perform code reviews, mentor team members, and ensure high quality frontend delivery
•Identify and resolve frontend defects, performance issues, and usability concerns
•Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and release activities
•Support production releases and provide ongoing enhancements and maintenance

Qualifications & Certifications (Optional):
•Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering.
•Proven experience in banking, financial services, or other highly regulated industries, with strong exposure to security sensitive customer workflows
•Demonstrated experience leading frontend development for enterprise scale, customer facing digital platforms
•Strong understanding of frontend quality assurance and testing practices, including frameworks such as Jest, Cypress, and React Testing Library
•Experience supporting mission critical applications such as card lifecycle management, activation, and fraud related workflows
•Relevant professional or technical certifications in frontend development, web accessibility (WCAG), cloud platforms, or Agile delivery are advantageous

Salary Range: >$100,000
