Banking & FS Program Director

Cognizant Technology Solutions is currently seeking a highly skilled Delivery Leader – BFS who will be responsible for Shaping/Designing/Implementing Transformation agenda for the Cognizant engagements in ADM/Cloud/Digital Engineering/QEA, by closely working with our customers and the Cognizant execution teams.

Location: Dallas, TX, NYC/Jersey City, NJ

Key Responsibilities

• This role demands a minimum of 20+ years of robust experience in managing greenfield application development, application modernization, cloud transformation and Production support engagements.

• The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of leading large, distributed teams and handling a portfolio size of approximately $30+ million.

• It is crucial that the candidate possesses strong experience in comfortably interacting with Client Sr. Executives to drive discussions around Transformation and Strategy, ensuring the outcomes align with the customer's perspective. Hands-on experience in conducting Governance meetings with both Internal and External stakeholders is essential.

• Partner closely with our markets, SLS and other service lines to lead RFPs in defining solutions focusing on delivering key outcomes for customers. Be comfortable in RFP presentations and customer walkthrough. Associate should be actively involved in client presentations and, upon successful award, be comfortable drafting the SOW and SLAs.

• Proficiency in discussing and presenting on DevOps, SRE, Cloud, Microservices architecture, Productivity tools (such as GHCP, Codium, etc.), and GenAI is required.

• Being a strong team player is important. The candidate must be able to keep emotions out of their work, focus on results and outcomes, and guide their teams in resolving conflicts, upskilling, and driving innovation at the grassroots level.

• Responsible for working closely with EDL’s in detailing out our Backlog, ML and Upside revenue for the year

• Encourage and collect all innovative ideas in our Bluebolt tool. Setup Hackathon events with our customers and co innovate

• Experience in the Banking Domain is highly recommended, and certification in AWS/Microsoft Cloud Practitioner or Solution Architect would be a plus.

• This role will focus on working key Cognizant initiatives such as Upskilling, AI driven Ops, GenAI adoption.

Key Competencies

Functional/Practice knowledge: Understanding Experience in working with the Banking Domain is highly recommended. Understanding of Project management methodology, user centric design, and ability to generate and impactful roadmap

Technical prowess: Deep technical expertise in delivering complex multi service line Greenfield Development, Application Modernization, Cloud transformation and Prod Ops engagements to address customer needs, and to create proof of concepts if needed, as well as credentialed solutions

Industry knowledge: Deep knowledge of IT services/IT outsourcing globally; ability to communicate across stakeholders

Commercial knowledge: Ability to run financials of engagement, maintaining healthy OM%, accurate forecasts, running UPTs & analyze opportunities and qualify leads and opportunities

Executive Presence: Have strong experience in comfortably interacting with Client Sr. Executives to drive discussions around Transformation / Strategy etc., along with outcomes that benefit from customer shoes.

Relationship management: Have strong experience in comfortably interacting with Client Sr. Executives to drive discussions around Transformation / Strategy etc., along with outcomes that benefit from customer shoes.

Leadership experience: Excellent organizational and leadership skills to build strong Strategy function and lead by example; strong project management, budgeting, talent management, and business operations skills

Required Experience:

• Minimum 20+ years in leading Digital Engineering and Production Support engagements

• Minimum 15+ years of complex solutioning experience, with broad technical experience

• Minimum 15+ years in in experience in assigned functional/technology area, with applicable market standard certifications

Preferred Experience:

Senior leadership role in project & product management, experienced in managing large global teams. Domain expertise across Banking vertical. Track record of delivering complex programs, as well as leveraging organizational capabilities to support offers/solutions
