About the role:
As a Senior Associate in Banking Payments Consulting, you will make an impact by serving as a trusted advisor and subject-matter expert for clients, executives, and stakeholders in the banking and payments domain. You will be a valued member of the consulting team and work collaboratively with clients and cross-functional stakeholders.
In this role, you will:
• Lead client engagements independently, serving as the sole resource assigned to clients and managing all aspects of project delivery.
• Provide expertise in banking, ACH/instant payments, and wire transfer processes, including knowledge of different payment rails.
• Guide clients through enablement and operational readiness, supporting go-live and steady-state operations.
• Deliver client training, interpret technical release notes, and facilitate cross-functional coordination across internal and vendor stakeholders.
• Negotiate project dates and scope, and communicate product benefits to encourage client adoption.

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 3 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in one of the following locations: Mexico City, Guadalajara, Monterrey or Queretaro. What you need to have to be considered:
• Strong knowledge of banking, ACH/instant payments, and wire transfer processes, including payment rails.
• Demonstrated project management and client engagement skills, with the ability to work independently as the only resource assigned to clients.
• Experience serving as a trusted advisor and subject-matter expert for clients, executives, and stakeholders.
• Strong client training skills and ability to interpret technical release notes.
• Client-facing negotiation skills regarding project dates and scope, with some soft-selling on product benefits.
• Cross-functional coordination skills across internal and vendor stakeholders.
• Experience in client enablement and operational readiness, guiding clients through go-live and steady-state operations.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple project inputs and coordinate varying resource needs.
• Availability to work with clients during U.S. business hours and during critical implementation phases.
• Expertise in leading end-to-end implementations and additional integrations with business solutions.
