About the Role

As Associate Partner, Life Sciences Consulting, you will make an impact by leading client engagements, driving business growth, and shaping the future of Cognizant’s Life Sciences Consulting practice. You will be a valued member of the Life Sciences Consulting team and work collaboratively with executive stakeholders, clients, and cross-functional teams. We are looking for candidates who come in with established experiences within functional areas like Commercial, Patient Services, Data and Analytics, Research, Clinical Development, Regulatory & Submissions, Manufacturing and Supply Chain. The candidates should have demonstrated experiences in one or more functional areas within Lifesciences and Medical Devices Industry. They should have worked either in a consulting organization focused on any of these areas or within the Pharmaceutical/medical devices industry. The candidates should be able to demonstrate consulting experience within their career journey.


In this role, you will:

  • Serve as a Consulting Leader, bringing your areas of respective domain expertise to Cognizant’s clients, as we engineer modern businesses to improve everyday life
  • Own and develop a book of business and actively engage in business development efforts, often owning quota for accounts, and ensuring profitable growth for the practice and for Cognizant
  • Exercise quality assurance for engagements within your remit
  • Engage in key account expansion, sales leadership, and internal executive stakeholder partnering based upon an expert understanding of such things as emerging market trends, client business direction, client requirements, evolving regulatory contexts and the feasibility of transformation goals
  • Establish and nurture relationships with cross-functional client executives and strive to serve as their trusted advisor
  • Leverage industry expertise and market sensibilities to propose forward-leaning refinement or extension of Cognizant’s Advisory Capabilities (offerings)
  • Support and develop a long-term vision for the practice
  • Work with others to standardize consulting tools, methods, curricula, and career development requirements
  • Partner with recruitment to attract high caliber consulting talent and the creation of a strong talent pipeline
  • Build teams, mentor and coach consulting associates; lead people development and community-building activities
  • Author thought leadership insights on behalf of the practice and advocates within Cognizant for the recognition of Consulting’s contribution to Cognizant’s profitability and market brand
  • Participate in industry panels and forums to promote Cognizant’s capabilities; gather insights on emerging business needs, requirements, technology, and competitive challenges
  • Lead in the creation of robust IP repositories and knowledge-sharing strategies to enhance practice effectiveness and cross-practice community building and act as a visible and respected spokesperson for Cognizant’s’ Advisory Practice

What you must have to be considered

  • Min 15 years’ experience in Consulting -Sell and deliver model including identification of leads and opportunities, pre-sales and post-sales support, marketing, and client relationship management. Ability/experience to deliver and sell billable client work is key
  • Demonstrated depth of experience in Life Sciences domain
  • Ability to travel as and when required
  • A background of extensive management consulting leadership as a practice leader, or business or solution developer
  • A successful track record of setting and achieving engagement targets, controlling budgets, managing forecasts, and driving an organization of professional consultants in winning business and achieving financial targets
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship (H-1B, L-1B, L-1A, etc.).

Compensation
This position is eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
Salary range and benefits will be provided in accordance with state law and Cognizant policy.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $137,000 - $220,000 depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
