About the Role
As a Product Owner – Data & Analytics, you will make an impact by driving analytics initiatives across Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and R&D for a leading Consumer Packaged Goods manufacturer. You will partner closely with business stakeholders, data engineering teams, analytics partners, and IT to translate business needs into actionable data products and insights.
In this Role, You Will
· Own and manage the product backlog for data and analytics initiatives across supply chain, manufacturing, and R&D domains.
· Define and communicate product vision, goals, and success metrics aligned with business priorities.
· Prioritize features, enhancements, and technical work based on business value, regulatory considerations, and operational impact.
· Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and delivery teams.
· Partner with business leaders and SMEs to understand processes, pain points, and data needs.
· Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and KPIs.
· Translate business problems into analytics and data requirements including dashboards, reports, models, and datasets.
· Collaborate with data and analytics teams on ingestion, transformation, and analytics use cases.
· Validate analytics outputs to ensure accuracy, usability, and business alignment.
· Support adoption through demos, training inputs, and feedback loops.
· Participate in Agile ceremonies and communicate progress, risks, and dependencies clearly.
Work Model
We believe hybrid work is the way forward as we strive to provide flexibility wherever possible. Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring at least two days per week onsite at the customer’s Winston-Salem, NC office. The remaining days may be remote, subject to project needs and stakeholder engagement.
What You Must Have to Be Considered
· 3–5 years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, Business Analyst, or Analytics/Data Product professional.
· Hands-on experience with data and analytics initiatives such as reporting, dashboards, and data platforms.
· Prior experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry.
· Exposure to supply chain, manufacturing, or R&D domains.
· Strong requirements gathering, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
· Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
· Solid understanding of data concepts including ETL/ELT, KPIs, metrics, and data quality.
These Will Help You Succeed
· Experience with modern data platforms, cloud data warehouses, or BI tools.
· Familiarity with manufacturing or supply chain analytics use cases such as OEE, yield, forecast accuracy, and quality metrics.
· Experience supporting regulated industries.
· Exposure to R&D or product innovation data.
· Certifications in Product Management, Agile, Scrum, or Business Analysis.
